Exciting News PART 2!! (I Think You Know)

Lifestyle Motherhood

If you caught yesterday’s surprise IG post, then you’ve probably already heard the news. It feels really surreal finally getting to share what I’m about to type. EXCITING NEWS PART 2.

If you read the part 1 post then you probably know the story of the new home and how that came about. There’s a second part to that story, of course. When we were house hunting all around Los Angeles and beyond, I WAS PREGNANT and didn’t even know it. In our new house, there’s a huge second closet in the master room that was converted into a mini nursery room. I remember seeing that and thinking, “Cute! But we wont be needing this for a while so I’ll just make it an extra storage closet.” I was wrong! LOL. That little mini nursery is now the biggest blessing that came with this house because that is where Baby Hendrix is going to be for several months when he/she comes into this world!

Stevie and I were going to start trying sometime next year, but God decided this is happening NOW. We all know where babies come from, of course, but this miracle completely caught us by surprise. Stevie even joked, “Are you sure I’m the father?” (He is such troll. hahaha.) Don’t get me wrong – we were SO happy when we found out but we also couldn’t believe it!  I’ve definitely had a lot of time to soak this all in mentally, physically and most importantly spiritually. What’s my life going to look like in 7 months? a year? I feel like God is using this season to shape me, sharpen me, and CALM me. I’ve had no choice some days but to REST. I’m learning now more than ever how to take a step back from our busy schedule and take care of myself.

My life routine over the past 4 months has completely changed and I’m going to share more with you guys. I knew I couldn’t go completely black from the internet and my followers, so I tried my best to keep content flowing while hiding this big secret. FYI- I’m horrible at keeping secrets so if you guessed I was pregnant at some point along the way, it’s because I don’t know how to be a good liar. lol! Most of the photos you’ve seen of me have been slightly photoshopped in the tummy area and/or were old photos I had on my phone that I was posting to keep the bump under wraps. Sneaky Saz!! Forgive me. 🙂
In case you’re wondering if I’m going to become a “mommy blogger,” the truth is – not 100%. I’m just taking this journey one step at a time and want to continue life as I normally would. We’ve really been enjoying the past few months of life and we’re soaking up the next 5 months of it being just the two of us. And Sweetie of course 🙂

Now that I’m 16 weeks and showing, I feel like it’s perfect timing to connect with other moms out there. I’m going to be a first time mom and I have no clue what to expect during or after this pregnancy. The thought of going into labor and trying to picture what contractions feel like, freaks me out! I’m really enjoying this beautiful process, but I’m also a human, and want to know is it normal I’m gaining weight like this and craving THIS MANY CARBS?! The beauty in all of this has been empowering for me as a woman and I feel blessed that I will accomplish my biggest dream in life soon – birthing a child. All carbs aside, I do not take the blessing of being pregnant for granted.

We do know the gender thanks to a little blood test (NIPT) I took when I was 10 weeks. It was a non-invasive test that checks our baby’s genetics and it’s mind blowing that the baby’s DNA and sex chromosome is detected in my blood. I got the results back when I was 12 weeks and was happy to hear everything came back normal. That was the greatest news before hearing anything else. Although, I hate surprises and I definitely wanted to know the baby’s gender ASAP! ahaha. We aren’t quite ready to reveal the gender news publically yet because we’re surprising our family members with a little reveal party this weekend. In the meantime, keep guessing away!
Baby Hendrix will join our world THIS YEAR. My due date is expected to be December 11, 2017 so please keep us in your prayers for a smooth, healthy pregnancy. I’m finally in my second trimester and feeling fantastic. I’m going to update you guys on first trimester post soon!

To be honest, the hardest part of my first trimester was keeping this a big secret from my online fam! It made me realize and appreciate that I have built a career around completely being myself. The things I do are centered around life’s seasons and not being able share the news was hard but a risk I had to take. Thank you for always being there for me. First came love... then came marriage… then came Sweetie, our new house and now there’s a baby on the way! When I share these moments in my life, I truly feel like I’m connected to each and every single one of you. I feel like you’re all my best friends and it’s totally not weird to me if you feel the same way! This connection is what has truly given me the ability to do what I do without hesitation – it is an incredible blessing to have such a supportive online community. Love you guys! 🙂

I have so much I want to catch you up on but my husband said I should wrap up this novel of a post! (He’s probably right. Are you still there?) I’m almost halfway through this pregnancy and I feel like there’s so many questions I want to ask fellow moms (or moms-to-be) out there who can give me personal advice throughout this journey. I don’t know what being a mom looks like, but I’ve never been more excited to find out.
Thank you all so much for the incredible support and love. Stevie and I are beyond thrilled and cannot wait to see if Baby Hendrix is going to look like mommy or daddy? hahah! We decided to Vlog throughout this journey, so keep a look out on my channel this week for a very special and intimate upload.
P.S. These breathtaking photos were taken in our new home with our photographer bestie Jon Volk – who also shot our wedding. Here’s been there for all the special moments. 🙂 And special thanks to my makeup queen Lyndsay Zavtiz for taking away my tired eyes and Carly for rocking my hair. My dress is from Bardot (got it at Nordstrom).

Being a mom is unexplainable but for sure such a wonderful feeling❤️ I wish you a heathy pregnancy and if it’s ok I would like to guess that you’re having a B????Y. So so so exciting!!!
    Congratulations you two!! Xoxox
    Love you guys!!!

  11. Congrats, Sazan! You look amazing. I know there’s a ton of books out there I’m sure people will tell you to read, but I suggest “Whoa, Baby” by Kelly Rowland.

She wrote it along with her doctor to cover a lot of questions she had preparing for first time momhood and even after her baby.

It covers things people don’t always talk regarding all the changes a woman deals with both physically and mentally. It’s approachable and super honest. I felt as if I was just chatting with a more experienced girlfriend while reading (which helps considering it can all feel very intimidating and clinical at first). Plus, if you’re anything like me, I’ve trusted the women of Destiny’s Child to let me KNOW about things for quite some time now.

Thanks for sharing this journey with us!

  12. I am so happy for you and Stevie!! I pray God’s blessing on you all as you start this exciting new journey. Love you guys so much!

  13. Hello Sazan! I’ve been a fan of your blog and you as a person for a while now! I always felt we had a lot in common ( middle eastern, love of faith, same age, lots of sisters! Lol ) I am a first time mommy just had my baby girl 6 weeks ago. I was in your shoes not too long ago! And boyy all the feelings of the unknown throughout the journey is truly powerful and scary at times! But what always reassured me was keeping in mind prayer and knowing how blessed I was that my body was able to grow this beautiful blessing. Motherhood truly is amazing. I pray every woman will be able to feel the one of a kind love of bringing a baby into this world. Truly a miracle. Nothing compares to what you will feel for this beautiful baby. Some advice i would love to share with you is about labor, I was sooo scared and worried about not knowing what the pain would feel like, always praying she arrives healthy etc.( also praying my husband doesn’t faint in the labor room,) lol. all the anctipation and worries in my head was wayy more stressful then the actual labor and delivery was!! I hope you have the same smooth experience as myself! I think the best way to go into it is trying not to over think it or plan too much about it. Because really nothing ever goes as planned! You will feel less stressed just going with the flow. And it really isn’t as rough as movies and tv show it!! It’s truly empowing as a woman to be able to bring life into this world! Also epidural is heaven sent lol And another thing you’ll probably hear a lot isss enjoy your sleep now haha and enjoy husband and wifey time, date nights, movies etc , just being able to go return something to a store will be a lot more difficult after baby lol. But of course this whole different world once baby comes is quite beautiful. Life just has so much more meaning. God bless you hubby and baby!

    1. So beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing your story and encouraging mine. Best of luck to you and your newborn baby!! The advice about not stressing or planning ….noted! Thank you love 🙂

  14. This is beautiful news Sazan! As a fellow first time mom, my best advice is to find a great doula and lactation consultant. The right support during labor and post-birth makes all the difference!

  15. I am not even kidding but at soon as I saw the post on Instagram I started crying. Like you said I feel so connected with you and Stevie that it touched me. I’m so happy for the both of you and I will keep you in my prayers through all of this incredible and wonderful journey.
    Love from Italy ❤✨

    1. Aw we love you! That truly warms our hearts and we really appreciate it. I feel like this child is already surrounded by so much love and support. It’s all we could ever hope for! xo

  16. Congratulations Sazan!! im so HAPPY for you guys <3 this is one of the reasons why I love the internet, I love how completely strangers become friends without even knowing each other, my sister called me from NYC and she was on the train and she just told me OMG Sazan IS PREGNANT!! before the line got cut off, and immediately I opened my Instagram to see the amazing news! Im a young mom of two beautiful boys, and let me tell you, you guys are going to be just fine. my advice, trust your guts and the journey, during the pregnancy listen to you body, you are going to be an amazing mom. besos!

    1. Aw this made me tear up! I truly feel so blessed to have people like you (and your sister!) celebrating life’s moments with us. This baby is going to come into a world filled with love both online- and off! xoxoxo

  17. This baby is poised for superstardom with the most blessed genes on both sides!! And so much charisma from you guys, I can’t even deal!! Congratulations Saz!! You’ll be such an amazing mom 😀

  18. Congrats! These pics are so beautiful. I recently had my son 2 months ago and you definitely make me miss my belly! I was petite just like you and i also gained weight quickly. I was sporting a bump by the beginning of second trimester which I thought was so exciting because I thought I wasn’t going to show for awhile since I had a thin frame like you. It’s the best feeling to feel your little one kick. Enjoy and I hope you have a smooth and easy pregnancy ????

  19. So excited for you two! I’m finished having kids so every time I see a pregnant woman I am over the moon for them. I can already tell that you guys are going to be fantastic parents! I pray God’s grace over you both during this season. I know it might not be the norm but being pregnant was an incredible experience for me and I wish the same for you!

  20. Hi Sazan! Huge congratulations to you and Stevie! Such a beautiful post, especially love the pic of you and Sweetie! May the next five months go smoothly. Sending love and prayers for good health all the way from Ireland. ????

  21. Sazan you look absolutely beautiful! You and Stevie are both glowing with pride and happiness, thank you so much for sharing this special time in your life with all of us! xoxo

  22. Okay, I’m SO excited for you guys. Aside from being role models yourselves, you both are literally a role model couple. Can’t wait to see your little family grow on social media! Congratulations! 🙂

P.S I lol’d when you said that you consider us best friends and not to think we’re weird if we think the same. Yesterday I literally freaked out because I was so excited and had a feeling, but I turned to my sister and said “Hey, my best friend is pregnant!” hahaha!

    Anyway, God bless!

  23. So many congratulations to your growing family! I’ve been following yours and Stevie’s journey for a while, and I totally called this! lol

I just had my first born in February, and reading his blog post brought back ALL the emotions I felt while being pregnant! (I miss it SO much, but LOVE that my baby girl is here SO MUCH MORE!) I loved being pregnant – it’s really the best 9 months (really 10) ever!

My best advice would be to listen to your body and do what you know is best for your baby. You will get bombarded with questions and opinions from family, friends, sazscribers, etc. (mostly out of love) but only YOU know your body and what you’re feeling. Take care of yourself.

My pregnancy was as smooth as it could have been (obviously experiences are different) but I think because I was in the mindset of “God will not put us (my husband & I) through anything we cannot handle” and my husband was such a support, which I sense you’ll have NO problem with 🙂 We put God and our family first – and that’s probably the best thing you can do during the next few months. (The power of prayer is amazing!)

These few months will FLY BY. enjoy and love every teeny, tiny minute with your growing blessing and Stevie. Sending lots of prayers for a healthy baby and safe journey! XO

  24. Honestly, every single post always leaves me wanting to read more! It’s crazy how social media can make worlds collide and we get to feel that closeness although we’ve never had a full conversation or seen each other in person. I truly hope and pray to meet you one day.
    Admiring you always ♡

  25. This is such amazing news and I could not be more excited for you two! You are such a beautiful couple and an inspiration to love. Congratulations xox

  26. The pictures turned out breathtaking! I can’t wait to hear if the baby is a boy or girl! You’re glowing and I’m beyond happy everything is going smoothly for you. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.
    Xo Darian

  27. So happy for you both! You two are the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen. He/she is going to be GORGEOUS!! Being a mom comes naturally so no need to worry, you got this… congratulations!

  28. Congratulations ! ❤❤ I love the pictures, especially the one with Sweetie, sooo soo cute. Wishing you guys all the best. Lots of Love from Germany
    xx Lisa Marie

  29. Congrats guys!! I am 20 weeks and this is my first. Our due date is November 11th just a month before yours! Crazy. It is certainly a wild ride, but cherish every moment.

    God Bless

  30. Ahhhhh my heart strings!!!! My heart is so full of love for you guys right now! I must admit I got a tad emotional reading this post because I have watched you and Stevie grow as a couple for so long! There is no doubt in my mind that you two will be incredible parents! As a newlywed myself, I appreciate you sharing this journey with us!!! Xoxoxox
    Love you guys!!!
    God bless

  31. Oh my gosh!! My husband and I read this post together and our hearts just melted. <3 I don't even know where to begin. I still remember your Instagram posts from YEARS ago when you lived in Dallas with all the fun mirror selfies and pops of color! I saw a spark in you even before you called yourself an influencer and it's been such a joy following along ever new chapter in your life from the move to LA, your engagement, the wedding and now the baby on the way. You're my inspiration and forever my favorite blogger. My husband and I both wish you and Stevie the best and a healthy pregnancy and we can't wait to see more this beautiful chapter!

  32. beautiful Sazan! This is such beautiful news. I’m a Mom of two MAGICAL angels and being their Mama is greatest blessing in my life. I’m also a retired birth and postpartum doula, but still LOVE supporting moms every day. Please reach out if you want to grab a tea sometime! I’d be happy to answer all of your questions and/or just connect. This journey is transformational. I am truly so happy for you.
I’m in LA!email me if you want to hang 🙂

  33. I’m so happy for you. You guys are such w cute family. I do miss your Snapchat!. I can’t wait to see what your having I hope it’s a little girl

  34. Sazan, YOU ARE GLOWING GIRL! That baby bump looks great on you ???? I am a mommy of an 18 month old and I can tell you while it’s a beautiful journey and there’s nothing compared to becoming a mommy – life does get a little crazy, and stressful, and sometimes you just want to pull your hair out lol but I think the important thing to remember is don’t forget to put yourself first after sweet baby H gets here. I think as new mommy it’s easy to get lost in all the life changes that come with being a new parent (I went down that rabbit hole, trust me, don’t it) but taking a little ‘me’ time isn’t a bad thing. Yes, the mommy guilt will creep in but just keep reminding yourself that a happy, healthy mommy is better than an overtired, over stressed mommy. And don’t stress, you’ll learn everything along the way and you will be a great mom! If you ever need some support or just to talk, I’m here for you lovely – cause let’s be honest, there’s no hood like motherhood ????

Sending lots of love to you, Stevie and baby H ❤️

  35. Congratulations! I knew you were pregnant. You just had that amazing glow. I’m so happy for you and pop’s (lol)! May God continue to bless you and your family.

  36. Dear Sazan:
A mutual friend we have texted me asking if I had already seen the big news, I headed to Instagram and when I saw that picture I started screaming and jumping and ran to tell my mom and my sisters (they got very exited as well). I can’t tell you how happy I feel for you and Steven!! You are going to be a great mom, I am sure of it.
I don’t have any babys, but I am a proud aunt of 7 beautiful kids (2 on the way, but they already count!). The one thing I’ve seen that is very important is to listen to the advice people gives you, but don’t follow always literal. Babys are born with diferent characters and moods, what works for a baby might not work for yours, don’t feel frustraded when that hapens. My advice? Pray to the Lord for guidance and do what you feel and see best for your baby. I will be praying for you, the baby and Steven.
P.s.: English is not my first language, so I’m very sorry if I have spelling mistakes!
Love you sister in faith & best friend 😉

  37. Congratulations! I’m so excited for you both. These photos are beautiful. I will keep you all in my prayers. I hope you have a safe and, healthy, and happy pregnancy & delivery. May God continue to bless you all. I can’t wait to keep hearing more from you about this incredible time in your life! Take care and soak up as much time with one another before the baby arrives! Also, my guess is you’re having a boy, but I know no matter the gender the baby will be beautiful and blessed!

  38. Great text! So happy for you! And you are absolutely beautiful!
Just follow your intuition and everything will be ok.

  39. Omg so happpy for you saz ???????? I’m sure you are gonna be a great mother for baby Hendrix ???????????? Can’t wait to see your pregnancy update and journey ????Love you so much and may God protect you and the baby ???? I’ll keep you in my prayers ???????? Take care of yourself ????And enjoy the amazing journey ????????
    Xoxo zahra

  40. I swear Sazan this post just had me in tears!!!!(luckily I’m not wearing any eye makeup lol) You and Steve are going to be wonderful parents! You both have such amazing warm and caring hearts. Also, the fact that you said “you feel as if we’re all your best friends” but huge smile on my face! When I talk about you guys to my friends/family they don’t understand the friendship. God Bless your growing family on this amazing journey.

  41. Congrats Sazan and Stevie!! I’m so excited and happy for you two!

I have never commented here before (I don’t knows why!) but I felt that I really should on this exciting post. I just had my baby girl 3 weeks ago so being pregnant is fresh in my mind, as is the birth. Please feel free to ask any questions! I’m sure everyone here will be so happy to help.

You’re going to get a lot of advice, some good, some bad. You just need to know that you’re the mommy, and your body will tell you what’s right and wrong for you and your little babe.

  42. You guys are sooo cute!! I was hoping you are pregnant but I saw your pics on IG and I decided that there’s nooo way as your belly didn’t show at all ???? Boy how you’ve fooled us ????

I’m due 14th november with my second one and I remember very well the feelings and thoughts I had with my first pregnancy… I was afraid of the contractions and giving birth but here I am….doing it again ???? soo it wasn’t that bad ????

I guess its normal to crave carbs… just do what feels right and enjoy this pregnancy!! It is a magical experience to feel how the Baby is growing bigger and getting stronger and kicking harder. Enjoy the attention you are getting now and take time for yourself cause it will be a looong time until you will be able to have some me-time after the baby arrives!

Sending you lots of kisses from Geneva????????
    God bless you!

  43. Congratulations! Such exciting news. I am expecting my first baby as well our due date is December 15th ????
Can’t wait to see your updated posts about how you and baby are doing!

Mum to be – Amy Jade xo

  44. hi my dear Sazan I’m so so happy for both of you! Congrats again and I’m thinking you guys gonna have a boy..I’m currently pregnant with my second child(girl) and gaining weight is totally fun just don’t eat too much and if you are able to exercise, walk a lot it’s very good.. love you very much.. ????#snapfam

  45. Love youuuu sazan !! You and Stevie are so freaking adorable, you deserve all this happiness????

  46. Don’t be scared about labor, contractions and delivery. You’ll be so ready for your baby to be here that you won’t be scared anymore. I would go through all the pain and pregnancy all over again for my little girl. You really won’t remember it. There’s a sense of strength that just comes over us when giving birth. One piece of advice is to enjoy every minute of being pregnant. It’s a blessing and so many wish they were in your shoes. It’s hard, yes…but beautiful.

I blogged about my pregnancy! http://Www.mimispot.me

  47. Congratulations! We are expecting our first child in October, a GIRL, and I’m 24 Weeks. We also did the early blood test and had a gender reveal with our families. The first ultrasound makes it all so real 🙂 It truly is a miracle and I’m so happy to hear about your wonderful news! God bless your growing family. Xo

Just a little tip- I’ve found that asos has a lot of cute maternity clothes when the time comes!

  48. Congratulations Sazan!

You are going to be such a sweet, fun, and wonderful mother. I just had my first baby in February, so I’m excited to read all about your pregnancy and new family member. I am going to guess that you are having a boy, but whether a boy or a girl that kid is going to be stunning and charming and blessed. Good luck! XOXO.

  49. Hello Sazan!
What a sweet blessing and surprise. I became a mom at 17 and was terrified. I turned into an adult really quick! My son changed me. He is now 21 and I love him to pieces ❤ I have told him to follow Steve because now he’s a newbie “vlogger ” Lol. I’m a huge fan of yours and Stevie’s Once you become a mom it’s like you develop mama bear strength ????????The pictures are all beautiful. The both of you will be great parents! Congratulations to both of you.
    Xoxoxo~ Love from NJ

  50. Did you ever read psalm 127:3? Read it! I won’t give away what it says, but my sister just had a baby and I got her a Christian card and it had 127:3. God’s blessing are amazing! Blessed is the fruit of your womb. I don’t know you personally, but besides the beauty and blogging tips you offer… the reason I come back to this blog is because of the way you express and represent your faith. God bless you and your family. And I’m going to keep your family in prayer, so that your dream of seeing them
    Covert will come to life.

  51. Congratulations Sazan!!! I’m so excited for you & Stevie! I just had my first baby boy, Ellis, in January, & I’m excited to hear all about your pregnancy journey! It’s such a special moment so enjoy every bit of it (even the not-so-enjoyable ones!). Btw, I’m guessing Boy! <3

  52. Congrats!I just want to say we are preggo twins as I am 18 weeks with our first baby! It was also a huge surprise. I had a feeling you were pregnant for awhile 😉 due to some things you said, as I was feeling the same way (i.e. tired etc.). I just started showing as well and I am super nervous. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you 🙂 <3

  53. I knew it! I’m excited to see your mommy style ???? Tips: Coffee, coffee, and lots of photos.. it goes by fast ???? My son will be 1 in August.. and nothing could prepare me.. but it all comes naturally.. Enjoy!

  54. Congratulations!???? Every experience is different, so don’t be afraid of horrible birthing stories. Take one day at a time and enjoy your journey. God will always be there to look after you. Plus the love and support from your husband, family, and, of course, Sweetie. That’s what matters.????

  55. Congrats Sazan! You and Stevie are going to be amazing parents! I am also due December 11th (SNAP) which is also my husbands birthday! ???? It’s a good date haha ???? .. I am also scared about the contractions and giving birth and all that! But I think if we just take it as it comes everything will be fine, our bodies know what to do! Are you feeling any flutters? We won’t know the sex until my 20 week scan! I am the same as you with suprises so I am definitely finding out! ???? Congrats again! super excited for you both Xoxo

  56. Congrats to the new parents in this world… sazan I’m a new happy mother of 6months old baby boy let me tell you that everything you are feeling about the big day contractions etc are prety normal… also don’t go crazy with all diferents tips from moms because some of them could work and some not, read books “what to expect when you are expecting” is like a bible for pregnancy it would help you a looot.. and Obviously talk everything with your doctor.
relax enjoy and live to the full this moment so magical and special, God bless you

  57. Congrats Sazan and Stevie!! My fiance and I have been big fans of you and Stevie for several years now. We are multi-cultural couple (Iranian and British) so we relate to you both in many ways. I guessed you were pregnant when you guys were given the margarita kit at your hotel and you said something along the lines of “i’m definitely not having any of that” in your IG story haha! Praying for a healthy and smooth pregnancy and a healthy beautiful baby.

P.S. Our guess is a boy!

  58. Congratulations!! I’m so happy for you guys!! May you have a peaceful and healthy pregnancy and an easy (as possible) birthing. I’ve read every word of your little “novel” and it got me really excited for everything that is coming your way and ours :). Keep us posted every step of the way! From Romania, with love!

  59. Congrats! I’m a new mommy too, my little one is 4 months old. Would love to add you to “mommy friends” and “bay area breastfeeding support” groups on facebook. The first one was created by a dear friend of mine in the bay area, the second was is lead by a fantastic lactation consultant, also in the bay area. These two groups were an incredible help for all of the questions, concerns and moments I needed support. xo

  60. So happy for you and Stevie!!
Forget other birthing stories and focus on yourselves and your own plan. Spend as much time as a couple and cherish your downtime! I miss my lazy days of doing nothing but that all goes away when I see my baby girl first thing in the morning!
Here’s to a healthy and smooth pregnancy! God bless you and your family

  61. Omg super happy for you both. It’s so funny how things work out, you both bought a new home with a baby nursery thinking, ” oh we arent planning on having babies yet” but little did you know you both were looking for a home to start your family. Wishing you a easy pregnancy. Parenthood is so beautiful, your whole take on love is going to change, having that love connection is a huge feeling and so unexplainable, the best feeling ever though. Congrats again. I think you will be having a boy for sure. ????

  62. Congratulations!! I’m so excited for you both! I’m a mother-baby nurse and my biggest advice would be to not be scared and trust your body (and God) during the labor. Women have been doing this for thousands of years and we are stronger than we think! I second the suggestion on finding a doula because they will give you unbiased information about all your options for labor (water birth, natural birth, home birth vs hospital, epidural, etc). You can do this! Congrats again 🙂

  63. congratulations saz!!! Please tell us the story of how did you tell stevie the news and his reaction.
Hope you have an incredible journey with God by your side.

  64. So excited for you and Stevie, I’ve been following you for a while and I know you both will be exceptional parents! Thank you for sharing 🙂 you will most definitely be in my prayers!

  65. Hey girl hey!!
First off congratulations!! I’m so happy for you guys!! Secondly, I just gave birth to our first baby ( a girl named Taylor!)- so I know exactly how you feel/ felt for 9 months. Labor was the thing I was most scared about just like you girl- but you can do it! I didn’t buy to many maternity clothes, because I kept growing! ???? I loved being pregnant, but at times with gaining weight ( I gained almost 30lb) it does become hard to love yourself with all these crazy hormones in our bodies! If became a time to connect with my husband ( who is also a Stevie too haha!) on a whole new level and see how our husbands love us so unconditionally with the new changes going on in our bodies. It grew me so much closer to the Lord as well, realizing how much I love my little girl and how He gave up His ONLY Son! #mindblown lol anyways I’m always here to chat about this all I’m 100% real.
You guys are going to make such great parents!!

  66. Congratulations!!! Seeing your relationship with your husband over the years I have always thought you would make the most amazing parents one day and now that day has come! You are absolutely glowing and I am so happy you have chosen to share this with us. So many prayers and blessings to you!

Side story: I actually cried after I gave birth to my daughter because I felt the whole experience went by too quickly and I wasn’t ready for it to be over. You really have to cherish every moment.

  67. Sazan and Stevie, first of all I want to congratulate you both on this amazing news. I am so happy for you guys. You both will be an amazing parents. You, Sazan, you would be a hot and caring, fun and sweet mom and Stevie, you would be a handsome and an amazing, funny and caring dad. I wish you all the best. Secondly, your due date, Dec’11, I was also born on this date….. So yayyyyy, I am so excited too. Please make sure we all are a part of your amazing journey to motherhood.. Love you so much

  68. What a blessing! I am so happy for you and Steve, I know you will be amazing parents. I knew you were pregnant the moment I read your surprise #1 blog post. I was just waiting for the BIG news. Your baby is so lucky to have parents like you and Steve who will show him/her God’s grace. I admire both of you as a couple. My husband is always teasing me that I read everything you post, but he can’t deny he loves watching “Rodrigo” all the time lol.

I’m a mom-to-be as well, due December 11th. We are expecting a beautiful girl, her name is Brielle which means God is my strength. We had a hard beginning because we were expecting twins (two girls) and there is a Vanishing Twin Syndrome that I hade never heard of before that took one baby away from me. Now that time has passed, I know that Brielle is a bigger blessing in our lives. I’m still trying to adjust to the changes that every women has to go through when pregnant, but it is a very interesting ride (physically).

Your pictures are breathtaking, your baby is going to be beautiful. I will be praying for you and your family.

    With love,

  69. Congrats! I just became a first time mom a month ago and my biggest advise to you would be to try and learn/read as much as you can for afterbirth. So many resources focus on labour and delivery but that’s just one moment in time – the real hard work starts after the birth. You will get through labour like millions of women have before you and there is nothing that can equip you for it (I had planned to use a birthing ball, took snacks etc but my baby decided to come so fast that I didn’t even have time to register at the hospital!)

The first month is really, really, really tough so get as much help as possible. If you’re planning on exclusively breastfeed, the first month will be even tougher. Hang in there though because the cuddly little baby will make up for all the rough days and nights ❤️

  70. I am SOOOO happy for you and Stevie!!!!! Anytime I see your post my face lights up. You make my day! Congratulations on getting pregnant and expanding your family. I can’t image how terrifying and exciting it is at the same time. God is wonderful and gives us so many miracles! You’re such a joy to many people and whatever you decide to do with your career we’re all here to support you. It’s awesome to see you grow in your personal and professional life. Thank you for being you and letting us share a piece of it. I can’t wait to hear more about how you got pregnant and everything that has changed emotionally, physically and spiritually. Blessing!! Love, Jing

P.S. – These are breathtaking photos Jon did!! Whatever the gender is ya’ll are going to make a beautiful little human.

  71. Congrats, Sazan and Stevie!!! You guys are the definition of marriage goals!! So excited to see this next chapter in your lives <3

  72. Hi Sazan,
This, all this is so beautiful. I wish you all the health and blessings thought this journey and after. You’re an amazing and inspiring woman with faith that makes anyone’s belief stronger. Undoubtedly you’ll be an awesome mom and baby Hendrix will be lucky to have such love around him/her. So much love for you four and so many blessings to you! ????

  73. Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalms 127:3

You both are amazing.. so happy for you two & Sweety ❤️

  74. Oh wow! Motherhood looks so beautiful on you Sazan! I had a feeling this was your surprise but you did keep me still guessing with your bumpless IG posts! ???? That baby is already so blessed to have you and Stevie as parents. Been keeping up with your posts for years now and I feel like I’m congratulating dear friends! ❤️

  75. So exciting! These photos are so beautiful and show such joy and inner peace in you both. God bless your little family ❤️ As for mama tips – Remember that God chose you for this journey, to grow this baby and go through labour and be this baby’s mama. He set you apart for this! In the hardest nights + days that’s what helped me most, remembering He chose me for this journey and He will equip me with all I need for each season and that He walks alongside with me giving me all the supernatural strength I need.

  76. Congratulations, you look beautiful! As someone who has been trying to get pregnant for a long time now, I have to say it can sometimes be hard to see other pregnancy announcements. With that being said, I really appreciate that you mentioned that you’re not taking the experience for granted because it really is a blessing. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy!

  77. Congratulations to you both! This is such a special moment in your lives and such a blessing. I am so excited for you both and literally almost cried reading this post. You two are going to be incredible parents and your little bundle of joy is so lucky to have you as their parents! Enjoy every step of the way

Ps. I’m in love with these photos- absolutely breathtaking.

  78. Ah congrats! I just had my baby girl 2 months ago. My husband and I weren’t planning her, but we were so thrilled and I remember being just as anxious and wondering how the he’ll motherhood was going to be! Especially labor! Pregnancy is beautiful and it’s so important that you REST, mama. Near the end you’ll just want your little one to be in your arms! Labor goes by quickly, and epidural is AMAZING. The hardest part are the first couple of weeks when everyone will be adjusting, especially in the sleep category. Please please for your sanity, accept help from friends that can watch the baby for a couple hours so that you and Stevie can recharge ???? Best of luck and God bless y’all

  79. wow I couldn’t believe it when you first announced it online..but then I could haha. It’s so crazy how these things come up in our lives, but you just have to roll with it. God was ready to bless you and Steve with baby Hendrix. I can’t wait to see what he/she looks like. Excited to follow along on your journey.

  80. Omg, congrats! It’s very exciting to hear that you have a new edition to your family. 🙂 Good luck with everything and I wish you the best journey as a newly mother.

  81. I’m 26 with a 13 month old girl. Being a mom is truly an amazing feeling. My best advice would be to enjoy every single minute with your husband because things will change so much with a baby, but after a while it becomes the new norm. I would definitely read about the fourth trimester and adjusting to life after baby. I never did and wish I had. No one ever tells you how challenging it is to have a child, so I’m going to be completely honest and tell you it’s hard! I know you’ll get through it though. You’ve got so much support on and off line. I cannot wait to see this new chapter in your lives. I truly wish you two the best with your new little addition.

  82. Congratulations to you, Stevie and Sweetie on the impending arrival of Baby Hendrix! What a blessing!! Get ready for the toughest, most grueling, but most amazing adventure of a lifetime!! Forget everything you thought you knew about babies and children, because they will come into your lives, turn it upside down in the best way, and teach you all about life! They will push you to the limits of utter insanity some days and then it if nowhere they will smother you with hugs, kisses, and snuggles!! Sourpatch kids I tell ya! I have a 6 year old girl named Riley and a 2 year old son named Hendrix! My daughter was the perfect baby and toddler. We skipped the terrible twos with her completely, but we are now dealing with a sassy weenager!! Make it stop ahhhhh! With my son, he is the true definition of a Sourpatch kid. He is oh so sour and then all of a sudden, in the most angelic voice imaginable, he begs and pleads for hugs and kisses and is the sweetest little devil! Both of my babies have taught me about real life. Life before children was superficial, kinda vain, and a bit self-centered. Life after children is messy, chaotic, spiritual, deep, and a true roller coaster. But it’s the kind of rollercoaster that you want to get off of desperately sometimes, yet somehow you stay on and keep riding the ride! You will learn to see the world differently. You will be inspired and endlessly surprised by what your child teaches YOU about life. It will be hard some days and that’s ok. Some days you will mess up and that’s ok, too. Your child will teach you about patience and forgiveness. Parenthood is experiencing childhood all over again, except you have, like, responsibilities and stuff. Enjoy this time with just your husband. Literally soak up this time together as much as possible because EVERYTHING changes when that new bundle of love comes into the world. Enjoy the ride you two!! If you need any LA Mama support, please reach out to me on IG @iamelletigre . Congrats again!! ❤

  83. Congratulations Sazan! I just had my first baby in April and was so terrified about labor and delivery but in a lot of ways it was easier than I expected. God will give you all the strength you need in that moment!
P.S. I know Stevie from our awkward homeschooling/Summit sports days. Tell him I said hi 🙂

  84. You’re so beautiful im following you since I bumped your ig in 2012. Wow! God bless you and stevie for this new journey. All love. ❤️

  85. Hi Sazan! I was so happy and excited to see this post! Congrats to you and Stevie! I am a first time mama as of 5/31/17. My hubby and I just welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Tristan, into this world. It was and has been the most amazing experience on this adventure of life together so far. My best advice is to cherish every moment you have together and enjoy the ride. I had/have so many questions still and I was worried about so much but you just have to leave it in God’s hands. As my hubby said…”Babe.. you have got to relinquish control.” lol something that I am not good at doing!! I am a planner and always organized and as a new mama- I can tell you not everything goes as planned all the time! Lol Thank you for sharing your journey and this amazing time in your life with us!! Congrats to you and Stevie! Much love! Xox

  86. Congrats Saz! Definitely watch those carbs! They break down into sugar and you’re more at risk for gestational diabetes. After getting it, you’re more at risk for getting diabetes later in life. This happened to me because I was craving carbs like mad! You look beautiful as always and the pictures are fantastic. This is the greatest blessing. I think you guys will make great parents!

  87. You are going to be an amazing mother! Once baby boy is here everything will come so natural you will feel a beautiful change in yourself that you hadn’t known before. It’s the most pure and genuine love you will ever feel and I’m so happy for you both. I became a mother last year in December and I love everything about motherhood (yes even the “hard” days lol ) welcome to motherhood Saz! God has blessed you so much more <3

  88. COngratulations Sazan!! This post made me tear up. I respect your decision about not being 100%blogger mom but please include some parts of baby/mommy life. I am
Getting married in September and we would like I start trying to get pregnant sometime next year so any vlogs/videos/posts on pregnancy itself and then labor as well a show to take care of baby/ anything pregnancy/baby related would be appreciated!! P.S. Please recreate his makeup look for all of us!

  89. Hi Sazan!

This is my first time leaving a comment but I just wanted to say I am so happy for you!! You seem like such a sweetheart in your videos and ever since I saw your wedding video I thought to myself, she would make such a good mom. I love your outlook on this and having the comfort to know that this is part of your journey, and I really want to wish you the best with your pregnancy 🙂 You look beautiful <3

Also I had no clue you were pregnant, when I saw the IG pic I fell out of my chair because I was so surprised!

  90. So excited for you and Stevie! You both will be amazing parents! I just had a baby girl on June 16! It’s definitely and adjustment but it’s amazing! If you have any questions always here to chat 🙂 ENJOY your pregnancy! The last month gets super uncomfortable! Xoxo

  91. I’m so happy for you! You both will be the perfect mommy and daddy for the little baby! At the end, I craved to read more of your experience…hahaha. Have safe and great pregnancy!!????

  92. What a beautiful blessing! Congrats ????????
Can’t wait to hear more about your journey as a mom (& mom to be).

  93. Congratulations Sazan ????
This was by far the most heart-felt post on your blog and I felt so so positive reading it.

Love & Light to you and your fam-bam,

  94. I’m crying! I love how in love you are with love… one more time.. LOVE!!
I stated reading your blog when I was looking for makeup tutorials and I fell in love with your passion and happiness! Not to mention damn gurl you so purrrdyyy! (I’ve done your wedding tutorial 100 times… for my wedding in March!)
I recently got engaged and you’ve literally been my inspiration to be a better person and love life and you’ve done wonders! I talk about you all the time ( is that weird?)I can’t recall when I told my partner… “yep I’m calling it, sazan is pregnant ” his response “who’s sazan” and I took a good hour of his time telling him all about you!
I’m so happy for you that your life has worked out, you have a beautiful home, a goofy best friend husband! And a miracle angel on the way!
Thank you for sharing this amazing news with the world!! You’ve made my day… who would have thought the happiness of a stranger would have made me so happy!
Congratulations and I can’t wait to “stalk” your life (haha joking I’m all the way in Australia) but just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me and just making me smile. Love to all 4 of you xxx Max

  95. I am actually so happy for you. I was elated when I discovered your blog and YouTube channel. Christian blogger. Someone I can relate to! Yaas. You and Stevie are so down-to-earth and now you’re having a little one! I can’t wait to see the journey. Stevie cracks me up and he’s probably going to be hilarious throughout the whole thing.
Congratulations again (I already said it on Insta hehe) and may God bless you both greatly.

    Mich x

  96. This is so exciting! Many congrats to you both, i cant wait to see your videos and compare it to my symptoms and expectations. since am My due date is 9th of December 2017.

  97. Hi Sazan,
I’m so incredibly happy for you and Stevie! I think I’ve been following your blog for over a year now and it’s true how you say that it’s no surprise that we all feel connected even though we’ve never met haha.. thank you for sharing your beautiful story with us. I know I’m biased but my hubby’s birthday is on December 11 (your due date) and he is the most amazing person I’ve ever met so in my experience, that’s a pretty great birthday to have 😉
I wish you and your growing family all the best! I look forward to continue seeing this next chapter in your life unfold. So exciting!! xoxo

  98. OMG Sazan, these pics are so gorge! I kinda had a feeling you were preggers and once you confirmed the news, I was just so happy for you. I’ve been following you on IG and YouTube for awhile now and it’s true, I feel like we’re friends! I’m 37 with no children so I have no baby advice for you – sorry! – but what I can tell you is that this is such a blessing and you will be an amazing mother. The love you and Stevie share is the sweetest thing – it’s really inspirational. I am so excited to follow your journey on this blog and social media and congratulations on this joyous news! Sending you lots of love from Toronto xoxo

  99. Congratulations sazan and Stevie!! you guys will make amazing parents. I have a two year old and I am currently pregnant with my second baby. The best advise I received when I was pregnant for the first time was

“don’t worry! once the baby comes, your motherly instincts kick in and you will be amazed at how natural it will feel”

when the baby came somehow we knew what we were doing and we pull through LOL now that I look back I’m like god, I really had no idea what I was doing but it felt like I did haha. I feel more prepared this time around, but truth is you are never prepared for a baby, not a 16, not at 25 and not at 35 you just have to buckle up and enjoy the ride 🙂

    God bless!

  100. The biggest congratulations! It is the most amazing, precious and beautiful thing in the world! Such an amazing journey to be on. I had our first baby in August last year and giving birth to our daughter is my greatest achievement and proudest moment. You just can’t explain the love. I was just like you when pregnant though, no idea what to expect or what was normal. I found that new mum and pregnancy forums helped, it was good to speak to others in the same situation. But most of all, other than taking care of yourself, just enjoy every second! It’s just the beginning of the most exciting (and a little scary) time. If you ever want to speak to a new-ish mum, more than happy to help in any way I can!

    Kirsten x

  101. I am beyond excited for Baby Hendrix! I pray for a smooth transition with your pregnancy. I hope all goes well by the grace of God! You are truly inspiring. Your family is truly wonderful and our Father in Heaven has more in store for you. Do not be afraid this is surely a moment to remember! You are a beautiful front the inside and out and will be a great mother. Not to mention Stevie being a great Father, and sweety being the lovely dog companion. Love you so much you are stronger than you know!
    Isaiah 41:10❤️

  102. Congratulations Sazan! Not a mom.. and motherhood freaks me out too, like you said. However, all my friends who have kids tell me it is the BEST THING IN THE WORLD and that I should not miss out. I can’t wait to follow you on this journey. So happy for you both!

  103. Sazan and Stevie,

I’m so unbelievably happy for you guys! I know you guys don’t know me, but I look up to you guys! If my life, along with my boyfriend, is anywhere remotely close to how your lives have turned out, we would be very BLESSED!

God bless you and your family; and thank you so much for sharing!
Much love from Jersey City! <3

  104. Wow congratulations have a safe pregnancy excited to see the little one.

Been watching all of your youtube videos and it inspires me a lot.

    Keep up.

    Angel Bach

  105. I freaking love you. I love who you chose to be. And the I love the Lord’s favor over your life. I am so excited for you and Steve. I have enjoyed being apart of your journey. What drew me to your blog/who you are as a person were the similaries in our stories. From one Arab sister to another, girl yes. I am proud of you and the hard choices you’ve had to make! You’re going to be an amazing mother! And the Lord will guide your steps in this new season just like He has in the past. I will be praying for more rest and peace over you and your household! Bless you guys, and sweet baby Hendrix! So much love and well wishes!!!! <3

  106. My Best Friend is Pregnant !!!!!!!!! Wooooooo!!!! Have been following your journey for years And have watched all your beautiful milestones unfold so beautiful to get to watch you become a mom too! May your blessing always over flow Sazan, your family gives me hope for mine and watching you makes me feel like i have a true friend, need you to know that 🙂 Love you,Stevie and Sweetie and your bundle of Joy coming soooon! xoxoxo Love Kristy

  107. I’m so excited for you Saz! I’ve been following you since that little apartment when not even Stevie was revealed. I will never forget that “I’M GOING TO JAMAICAAAA” video haha. So I’ve basically I’ve seen your entire journey and how its come to pass. I share your videos with my bf as if I know you on a friend basis and refer to you as “Saz” so he teases me all the time, “you mean your bestie Saz??” lol anyway, I’m beyond thrilled for you guys and thank you for being so open about your life. We’re all rooting for you guys and so excited about Baby Hendrix whose already beyond blessed to have you both as parents. Congratulations! xx

  108. Sazan you are just so beautiful. I am beyond happy for you and Stevie to start this amazing chapter of life. God chose the right people to give a beautiful child. I’m able to relate to you in so many ways so yes I shed a tear when I got the news! You give me so much motivation and courage to continue on with my goals and dreams. I honestly hope that one day we can meet and be able to share with you all the influence you have given me. Best of luck on your new family! ❤️❤️❤️

  109. Awww congratulations to you, your husband and the Saz family… You are an inspirational to many… and this bundle of joy is another blessing to many… 🙂 thank you for sharing your life with us.

  110. LOL poor Stevie, even he can’t believe he could ‘perform’ for a woman. Whenever he decides to come out, us gays will still be here for support 😉

  111. Sazan,
I can’t believe this! Well really I guess i can! I’m so surprised and happy for you, a year and a half ago or so I came across your blog after being directed to it on byrdie, and fell in love with your style, your makeup skills, your pictures, but really your humour, your love of god,, how deep and real you and Stevie are! Man, this child will have such lovely parents, ones that even from a look afar I can see will inspire them to be the most amazing individuals, kind, loving, funny, smart and really just the kind of people you want to randomly meet in a grocery store checkout line and start talking about life with. You inspire me to be different, to stop looking at what all of the world desires look like and to focus on what God wishes for us…
…God’s timing and plans, I have to mention, I am a lot younger than you and may not have age in common but I definitely understand how wild and free it can be to wait on gods timing, or to let him do his magic even without knowing. It’s so hard to give him the reins, to know that no matter what he is in control, and yet it feels like second nature all at once.
I just graduated and one of the messages i got spoke of a verse in Jeremiah, which really stands out now in regards to your little bundle of joy and surprise!

“Before I shaped you in the womb,
    I knew all about you,
Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you:
    A prophet to the nations-
that’s what I had in mind for you.”
    Jeremiah 1:5

Also, the bible app, (not sure if you have heard of it) is lovely for it’s plans among all of it’s other things! I know for sure there are pregnancy plans too! (I’m not sponsored or anything, just a thought!) I have never read those ones as I am not a mom, but I have read many others and who knows maybe you and Stevie could have a little nightly reading sesh together! That sounds fun! 🙂
Anyways! I am so happy for you, it’s funny how you can find out someone you have never met is pregnant and get teary eyed! But really I am so glad god led me to a christian blogger like you! YOU WILL BE A AMAZING MOMMA!

  112. My son is 13 and still tear up every time I see this poem. It has been one of my favorites and I love sharing it with new mommies-to-be!

Running errands, and talking on the phone,
I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone.
Little tiny hands, a precious rounded knee
pushing and twisting that no one can see.
Oh sweet child kicking up your heels,
it is our little secret that only I can feel.
I look forward to your birth,
when I can kiss your skin,
but for now I will just smile,
As I feel you play within.

  113. Gongratulation from Germany ;-), it’s great news. Enjoy this time, make a lot of pictures because believe or not it will run fast. I have 4 month old baby girl and from my experience I can say baby changed my world ????. It so nice when litle person is looking on you first time and you feel everything in one moment- love, you are blessed, thankfull, scarry… All in one moment. Speak w your baby I think they hear and somehow remember, music which I listened during pregnancy is best for sleeping time right now. I just found out your blog and I like sooo much, way how you do it, ???? cool. I spent so much w pregnancy books ????, if I can advice read ???? some but focus on baby ???? books as soon baby will be here you will not have time for books. All time will consume baby, husband, (better to spend free time like w book)sport, rest…. I like as well your bless box, but with shipment cost to Europe, it’s become more expensive and not so interesting (sorry ???? to say it so direct). Have nice pregnancy time, enjoy everything from this part of life. Mika

I love your dress and would to get one. I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find it. Do you know the name or serial number on that dress. Thanks so much!
