Sweaters... where do I begin!? If there is one type of clothing item that I have a lot of in my wardrobe - and that I keep purchasing - it's sweaters! I just can't get enough! From different colors to cuts, and even the style of the knit itself, I always find an excuse to buy more! With the weather finally cooling down, I have been styling different ones almost daily, and I wanted to share with you babes some tips on how I like to wear mine!
My go-to sweater silhouette while pregnant has definitely been oversized. I just think they're SO comfortable - almost like wearing a cozy blanket - but still so cute! Oversized sweaters are probably not the greatest looking out of the bunch when seeing them on a hanger. They look like they would overwhelm your entire outfit and be hard to style. Don't give up, girl! Here are a few Saz-tips to help out your sweater styling. :)Tip #1: Effortless vibesSometimes keeping it simple is best. I recently styled this ivory colored sweater dress from Zara with sneakers and a cute bag that added a pop of color my outfit needed! I loved the look for a casual day out running errands, and this was SO maternity friendly.
Tip #2: Dress it up!With oversized sweater dresses being my go-to, I love transitioning them to a more chic look by swapping out the runners for thigh-highs or heels! The outfit is instantly elevated ;) Add-on your favorite bag, statement earrings or a fun hat, and you're good to go!
Tip #3: Denim loveFor those shorter sweaters or colder days where you don't want to show any leg, pairing your chunky oversized knit with skinny jeans is a great option! Keeping your bottoms more tailored balances out the heavier knit up top and is most flattering - especially for all of my shorter babes out there! Plus, who doesn't love a classic sweater and jeans combo?!
Tip #4: Sweater + skirt This tip is for my fashion lovers that love taking risks! I know I can't wait to rock this look myself so I added some inspo from Pinterest! An oversized sweater paired with a skirt is the ultimate cool-girl look! I love the combination of textures when a chunky knit is paired with a satin skirt. Bonus tip: you can also just wear your sweater over your favorite dress to get more use out of your summer pieces!
