Not sure if you've been following along on Insta, but if you have then you've probably seen me attempt to annihilate Stevie at paddle-ball on the beach, climb some big rocks, and stalk a family of deer at the park. This was all in good fun through a fun partnership I've been working on with Teva! The story I was chasing (literally) was to see how functional and stylish Teva shoes would be for a two-day adventure in Topanga/Malibu. Stevie joined in on the fun (of course) and decided to put his own Teva sandals to the test as he styled them with a casual snapback hat (that I bought him hehe), comfy activewear shorts and a bangin' sweatshirt. Here's the part I couldn't believe. He managed to climb up a ginormously tall tree wearing these Terra-Float Slide sandals on (*insert my STEVIE GET DOWN FROM THERE SCREAMING voice*). Nonetheless, I was pretty impressed to see him get down on both feet - thankfully.
My idea of adventure - not so much climbing on top of trees. I'm more for staying comfortable (and cute!) on the ground. ;) Whether it's a high heel or a sandal, I love a versatile nude shoe. These Terra-Float Livia sandals matched my casual tee and denim look so perfectly. I got so many compliments when I was walking around Topanga State park casually admiring (stalking) the cutest family of deer. I even got a little "cray-cray" climbing on top of logs that had fallen. I'm so fun, I know. ;)
The next day Stevie and I decided to have a picnic at our favorite beach in Malibu called El Matador. Seriously if you haven't been you should totally check it out because the sunset every night is BREATHTAKING. My husband is so competitive and decided to surprise me with a game of paddle-ball. Side note: I literally thought 'paddle-ball' was the same thing as ping-pong ball. LOL However, don't underestimate the power of my skills even if I'm wearing a cute dress and comfy sandals. The game got pretty intense so I'm surprised these sandals didn't fall off my feet. They were so light-weight and comfy that I forgot I had shoes on.
Anyways, after I beat Stevie at every round (I'm lying but just go with it), we set up our picnic blanket and enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the sunset. It was truly such a fun day!
I challenge you and your man (or bestie!) to go out and have some fun. As bad as this sounds, I used to hate being outdoors because I thought that meant I couldn't look cute. That's so not true as you can see. I think after this 2-day challenge I've proven to myself (and hopefully inspired you!) that its possible to look stylish, feel comfortable and enjoy the many adventures that await! Cheers to that.a special thx to Teva for partnering with me on this post. xo
