Hi guys! As many of you know, Stevie and I have been happily married for almost a year now (I know, crazy!). Valentine’s Day is coming up, and we wanted to do something special for our first one as Mr. and Mrs! Stevie and I travel so much together, which is amazing, but we wanted to make sure we got a proper date night in before we hit the road. Sometimes people get caught up thinking that you absolutely have to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 14th, but that’s a total misconception. Some people work, travel, or are just plain busy, and it’s totally fine to celebrate before or after the actual day! We’re about to head out of town again, so we celebrated a little early. I hope you enjoy this cheesy-fun post we did in collaboration with Express. There are so many ways to Express your love and today we're sharing some of our favorite ways. ;) Off to Santa Monica Pier we go (complete with cotton candy, popcorn, and the perfect sunset of course). Be sure to also check out my fun tips if you need some inspiration for Valentine’s Day date ideas.I think the best dates are the stress-free ones. There are no rules when it comes to Valentine's Day. Communicate with your boo beforehand to figure out the best activity that both of you will enjoy. Dos importantly, don't forget to dress the part. ;)Daytime Fun - Keep it lighthearted and adventurous! (Hiking, Roller skating, Shopping..)
Romantic Night - If you’re more into a date night, why not experience a drive-in movie or catch the sunset at your favorite outdoors spot. A fun, interactive dinner! Perhaps something you’ve both never tried before like when the chef cooks in front of you or a cool fondue place?
Spontaneity - don’t be afraid to let your hair down and go wild! Go dancing ;)
Kisses and Hugs - Don't forget about giving a few extra of these on Valentine's Day. No date is complete without them of course ;)At-home Ideas - Love is priceless. If you're on a budget then bring the fun into your home. Make a sweet milkshake together in the kitchen and share it with two straws. Put in a cozy movie and turn off your phones for some much needed quality time together.

We’re both wearing new arrivals outfits from EXPRESS. This little black dress I’m wearing was the perfect and playful piece for our fun date night. The red shoes were a last minute decision since t's a fun pop for Valentine’s Day! I went with a simple clutch like this that had a cute little tassel and optional strap to wear as a crossbody. The hubby didn’t look so bad himself. His blazer and black jeans were classy but comfortable enough to run around and be the crazy goof-ball that he is.I hope you enjoyed our Valentine’s Day inspired post. Can’t wait for the actual day!! I think we’re going to keep things chill and try the at-home date night idea. What are your plans? ;)
& Special thanks to Express for partnering up with me on this fun Valentine’s Day post!
