My hubby and I just got back from a relaxing spring break vacation in Mexico! It was so good that a fun recap/review of our stay is a must. We stayed a week in the cutest luxury resort better known as Rancho Pescadero. The property is STUNNING. Picture the desert meeting the ocean. Breath-taking. It's located near the small town of Todos Santos (about an hour north of Cabo). When we arrived I was immediately drawn to all of the beautiful Spanish-style decor. Every detail was so perfect. I knew off the bat that there were going to be PLENTY of "Insta" worthy moments.
Stevie and I were both amazed by the quiet and intimate vacation experience we had. We're used to staying in resorts that are over-crowded with loads of traffic from the people and kids running around to the crazy birds (I'll never forget the time I got bird pooped on at a Bahamas resort!). Anyways, It seriously felt like everyone staying there had their own privacy and oceanfront experience. The pools were great too! I like that both pools on the property were nice and relaxing with no more than a few guests out and about at a time. It was so soothing to actually hear waves crashing in the ocean. At night, Stevie and I loved sitting around the fire pit. You can have a hotel staff member help you create a cozy bon-fire on the beach if you'd like! How awesome is that? We hardly left the resort while we were there. My favorite part was our room. It was absolutely STUNNING. House goals foreaaaal. We learned that our breathtaking cabana suite was the same one Matthew Mcconaughey stayed in after his Academy Award win a few years ago. I died a little bit inside when I heard that.
Stevie and I love experiencing new places because we get to meet new people and try so many new foods and drinks! What about you? What's your favorite part about vacations? Since I mentioned the food - I just have to say that it was some of the best food I've ever had in my life! The mini breakfast burritos and green smoothie were my favorite (made fresh)!! Also, our bartender Danny really hooked us up with some fantastic cocktails. I admire the passion he has for his job. He was so excited to share "the story" of every drink he would make us. He whipped up so many creative cocktails that left Stevie and I speechless after one sip. He loves to spoil all the guests and is seriously such a humble dude!It was fun learning that many of the guests were visiting for their 3rd or 4th time at Rancho Pescadero. It's an annual thing for some folks I guess this explains why so many of the hotel staff are on a first-name basis with guests. That's something I've never seen before! I felt right at home. :)
During our last day, we decided to go into town and buy some 'souvies' in Todos Santos. I love that Stevie tried really hard to only speak Spanish with the locals so because he wants to learn. He's so cute!! Speaking of cute - I found the cutest handmade straw bags and little trinkets for the new home while we were out shopping. I still need to unpack so I'll have to dig them out and share a picture with you soon or something. :) Stevie even found himself a really nice linen dress shirt and of course some cigars to add to his crazy collection.
I can't wait to go back there you guys! I miss it already. It was so nice getting to unwind and unplug from everything. I needed that, so cheers to the best #SazanTravels vacation yet. Special thanks to Citizine for making my trip unforgettable.
