Hey beauties! I recently got back from NYFW the other week, and I had such a blast! I had the opportunity to see some amazing shows and meet so many talented makeup artists. This time around was a little different than the last because of being pregnant and all lol! I decided to vlog the experience on my channel so be sure to check that it later. I still had a great time and made incredible memories that I'm excited to share with Baby Hendrix one day :)I teamed up with Maybelline to recreate the makeup looks I saw at some of my favorite shows. The first one was Brock Collection. The clothes were absolutely stunning. Feminine, lots of florals and lace. Perfect combination! The makeup look featured copper eyes with minimal mascara, subtle stained lips, and dewy skin.
Products I used to recreate the look:Cheekbones: Maybelline Master Chrome HighlighterEyes: Maybelline's The Burgundy Bar Palette (it's coming soon!)Lips: Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink in "Fighter" (also coming soon!) with a touch of their "Shine Shot" glossThe second look I recreated was inspired by Jason Wu's fashion show! A lot of his pieces had asymmetrical details that looked so modern and chic with lots of stripes (one of my favorite prints!) As for makeup, the outer corners popped with a thick green hued flick. I wanted to make mine look a little more practical for everyday so I toned it down with a simple green pop at the end corners of my eyes. The best part of this makeup look was the faux freckles! I have always wanted them, so I was so excited to create my own version. (Praying that Baby Hendrix will have Stevie's freckles too!! hehe)
Products I used to recreate the look:Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + PorelessGlow: Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter (shoulders & cheekbones)Freckles made easy: Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Brow Pencil in multiple shades (also used on brows)Eyes: Maybelline's The Burgundy Bar, City Kit in Urban Light and the Light Liner (coming soon!)Cheeks: Maybelline FaceStudio Master Bronze KitLips: Light touch of Vivid Hot Lacquer in Tease from MaybellineTip: When creating fake freckles, the idea is to make it look as imperfectly perfect as possible. I literally just started poking little dots using Brow Precise Micro Brow Pencil directly to my cheek and nose area. Go back over it and make some look bigger and/or bolder for a more natural look. After, gently set it with a light fan brush and translucent powder (I love Laura Mercier's Secret Brightening powder)And last but certainly not least, Philipp Plein! The show was so fun to watch, and the clothes were undeniably edgy. Caged skirts, printed tees and leather jackets were a reoccurring look on the runway. The makeup was on another level! It was inspired by "good girls" vs "bad girls". I saw a close-up picture of Adriana Lima and instantly knew I wanted to be a bad girl! ha! The look had a bold cat-eye paired with a flawless plum lip. Even though it's dramatic, you can totally take it from the runway to date night.
