Happy Halloween! I recently had a blast experimenting with a little pink in my hair. Remember? Well, those were only extensions. I definitely think that inspired me to create this post. Since I've totally been in the colorful hair spirit lately I decided to give DIY temporary hair color a try. Key word: Temporary. I got my hands on the Color Styler by Garnier at my local Target (super cheap!) I quickly learned that it's a temporary hair color that comes out after a few washes. No damage or chemicals to your hair and it comes in 5 fun shades. Tons of celebrities have obviously taken this trend to the extreme, but since I'm a newbie I wanted to keep it subtle (and me) by streaking the ends of my hair purple for the spirit of Halloween. It's always challenging doing anything for the first time and trying to record it at the same time! I'll shut up now and let you watch my tutorial.
Subscribeto my YoutubeCan color styling always be this cute/easy?! By the way, I loved seeing my friends’ reactions when they saw my new hair out and about. They thought I colored it professionally. Although I don't think I would ever color my hair permanently, I enjoyed being able to change it up for a few days. I will emphasize to go easy on your first try because the texture of your hair will start to feel rough if you over do it. I applied some coconut oil on the ends of my hair (which I normally do anyways) to keep it looking shiny and feeling smooth all throughout the day. It won't damage your hair, but if the rough texture annoys you than this is a helpful trick to try.
P.S Don't forget to upload your selfies using the hashtag #FunnestGirl to Instagram so I can see your colorful hair pics! Mention why you're the funnest girl in the world in your caption while you're at it for the chance to beGarnier Color Styler's spokesmodel for 72 hours. ;)
Cheers!
