Is it just me or did the Oscars get REALLY awkward last night? Thankfully when it comes to beauty on the red carpet, there can be more than one winner. I predicted that we were going to see some bold beauty looks and it's safe to saw, we saw just that. The biggest trend? A pop of color on the eyes! Here are a few of my favorite beauty looks that stunned the red carpet scene.
I decided to play pretend and recreate my own red carpet glam. I teamed up with celebrity makeup artist (and friend!) Lyndsay Zavitz to bring my #redcarpetgoals to life.
Skin: We started by exfoliating my skin with Neostrata's 'Duo Microdermabrasion' set (links to their other great products below), followed by Dr. Brandt's 'Skin Recharging Magnetic Mask.' To hydrate the skin we used Dermalogica's 'Active moist moisturizer.'Foundation: She mixed Giorgio Armani 'Designer Lift Foundation in #7' with Kevyn Aucoin 'Sensual Skin Enhancer #08' -- (the two together work like magic to keep the makeup looking fresh all night!)Concealer: NARS 'Radiant creamy in Honey and Custard'Highlighter: Artist Couture in 'Double Take' (similar here and more below!)Eyeshadow: STILA's 'Smudge Pot' in black and Kylie Cosmetics in 'The Bronze Palette' (similar here and more below!)Lips: Charlotte Tilbury's lipstick 'So Marilyn'Hair: For this sleek look that stayed put we used, Oribe's 'Royal blowout & shine reflecting spray' with Serge Normant 'Dream Big' Spray and RandCoHair's 'Outerspace' flexible hairspray.
