Every time I have an audition or hosting gig I've noticed they always ask me to wear jewel/gem tone colors on camera. Oohhhh kay. I obviously prefer my leopard print over everything so I'm always offended (kidding). Think shades of green, purple, and blue (hence the term jewel/gem tones). I decided to take this trend and re-invent it into my beauty life. I get bored with my makeup easily so I happily decided to give this a try. If you're also kind of over your makeup style- try this out for your next look. I experimented with blue eye-liner for the first time last November when I was in NYC shooting videos with Target. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the eye-liner so much that I went and bought one after! Who would have thought that a little pop of color could transform your eyes? For my look below, I decided to go more dramatic by adding a dark purple lip to spice up this look (so great for night time!). If it's too much for you then make adjustments where you need to. Whether that's trading in the dark lip stick for a subtle nude lip gloss, or eliminating the eyeshadow and simply wearing the eye-liner by it self- You make the rules sista!
Simple How-to: I used an eyeshadow palette to create a shimmery/smokey base (optional). Tip: I used a dark matte shadow to define the crease of my eye and around the edges for a smokey look. Then I applied a few coats of the blue eye-liner (to really make it pop) and then finished off the look with my volume mascara and bold lipstick.
(Shop) What I'm Wearing: Eyeshadow, Lipstick N/A (shop similar), Eye-liner, Mascara
