One of the best feelings ever is taking the plunge and cutting your hair short. There's something about it that feels so freeing, light, and refreshing!! Once you leave the salon, you're wondering why you didn't do it sooner, but then after your first shampoo, you're in a sudden state of panic! Lol! I know I can't be the only one that goes through that!
Styling short hair and achieving the same salon perfect look at home almost seems impossible, but not to worry babes! I've got you covered ;) After a few big chop experiences myself, I've found the best heat tools for short hair, and I'm about to share all of my favorites with you! Let's do this!!
At Home Blowout:
Having thick curly hair means my blowdryer needs to be powerful efficient without stripping my strands of shine. The Supersonic Hair Dryer by Dyson definitely lives up to the hype! I did a full first impressions test on my YouTube channel a few months back, and I've been hooked ever since! I'm able to achieve straight voluminous hair with this dryer but also love the diffuser for those curly hair days! Blowdrying your short hair just got much simpler :)
Go-To Straightener:
Next up, straightener! I've tested so many different ones, and I always come back to this Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Straightening Iron. This iron is a little over 1 inches which I've found to work best on shorter hair- you can also use this flat iron to curl your hair too! Yay for 2-in-1 tools! Best of all, it's super lightweight, so my arm doesn't cramp up as I'm trying to style- lol!
Sleek Waves:
Another favorite hot tool for short hair is this T3 Bodywaver. I love the polished bouncy waves I get with the curling iron since the barrel is more on the thicker side. If you don't have curly hair as I do, you can totally skip out on blowdrying- this tool will give you the same blowout effect. You end up using less heat on your hair and cut styling time!
Faux Curls:
Even though I have naturally curly hair, some pieces need a little bit of oomph! My favorite way to fake natural curls is by using this wand by Hot Tools that has a tapered end. The shape of the barrel really mimics my curls so that way I only put heat on specific pieces only, and I can leave the rest of my hair as is. This tool also helps add extra volume all across your short hair!
Those were my favorite styling tools for short hair! I hope that helped you babes out whether you have short hair already or are debating on cutting it. It's so fun to switch up your look from time to time, so I would say go for it if you have been hesitating! What's your go-to hair tool? Let me know in the comments down below!
