Hey babes!! Can you believe we're already at the end of January?! I don't know if it's because I've been super busy with Valentina or what, but time is flying by! I recently went through a closet detox and got rid of so many items. Even though I had A LOT to look through, I really enjoyed the process! Not only did it remind me of the pieces I had forgotten about, but it also made room for new finds!! Win-win ;) Before purchasing anything online or going on a shopping trip to the mall, I had a look through the trends for 2018, and I wanted to share my favorites with you guys!Trend #1: Fringe Away
Depending on your style and how bold you like to be, the fringe look can be your go-to to make a statement. From jackets, dresses to purses, this trend adds such a fun vibe to any look.Styling tip: If you ever want to step outside of your comfort zone with trends, keep the rest of your outfit super simple. Mixing one statement item with basics is enough to make your outfit pop!Trend #2: Pastel Mood
Do you guys remember a few years ago how crazy we all were over pastels? Well, it's back! I absolutely love pastel colors, they just lighten up your outfit and have such a youthful vibe to them! From lilac to pale green, the options are endless! I know in Spring/Summer I will be rocking this trend a lot. ;)Trend #3: 80's Baby!
The 80's had a lot of questionable fashion moments- to say the least, lol!- but, I'm all for these two making a comeback. Say hello to poofy tops and slouchy boots! My favorite way of styling poofy shoulders/sleeved tops is with super fitted bottoms, i.e., skinny jeans or bodycon skirts.I'm sure by now you all know how much I love knee-high boots, but this slouchy twist is such a breath of fresh air. I wore these red ones recently, and I'm obsessed! PS. You also don't have to worry about pulling these boots up all day since that's the look! Yay!!Trend #4: Bold Jewelry
2017 was all about dainty jewelry which I still love, but this year's jewelry is BOLD! Think oversized earrings and layered chunky bracelets. Lastly, this trend is all about transitioning your love for sequin from night to day! I know for me when I think of something sequin I assume birthday or NYE dresses, but this year I'm ready to switch it up and sparkle during the day :)Styling tip: A little bit of this trend goes a long way! I would pair a sequin top with vintage looking jeans for a cute, but casual look.
