Motivating yourself into a healthy diet slash workout routine when you've taken time off is intimidating. Trust me I've been there. It's especially challenging if you're constantly on-to-go or traveling!(#SazanEats) If you're looking to ease fitness back into your life but need some healthy motivational tips - I've outlined a guide to help you. Just remember: It's all about baby steps!Tip 1: Diet is KeyStart paying attention to what you're putting into your body. Avoid super salty, sugary, and processed foods! Whether you're eating at home or going out to eat - practicing self-control is the hardest part. When I quit buying the potato chips and soda at the grocery store, I noticed the late night munchies had to disappear. Look for healthier snack choices - like raw almond butter and celery sticks! I also love lunch meat from the deli dipped in Sriracha. heh! Get creative. Try adding a green smoothie to your breakfast instead of a sugary orange juice.
Tip 2: Whether it's 10 minutes, or 1 hour - get it in!Release those endorphins! In the beginning you're going to hate every minute of it because you're not used to it. No matter how fit or out of shape you are, working out has to become a part of your lifestyle versus a chore. The more you do it, the easier it gets - I promise. I remember feeling like I should be working out but would never listen to that voice in my head. I finally had it with my diet and the way I felt when I looked at myself in the mirror that I learned to find motivation for working out. I began to obsess with that after-you-workout-feeling. I wanted more! I joined an indoor cycling class that challenged me and kept me motivated! Sometimes that's what you need to do - find a class that challenges and intimidates you. When I'm not doing my indoor cycling classes for cardio, I love clearing my head with a jog around the neighborhood. Even if it's 10 minutes!
Tip 3: Get a Boost of Energy! If you love working out but it's challenging for you to stay focused and give it your all - maybe you need a pre-workout powder to help you out! I've always been so skeptical about powders and stuff but I finally found one at Whole Foods that's health friendly. It's the Energizer from VEGA. I've been taking it for years now and it's my absolute favorite!!!I'm no where near my #BodyGoals but I definitely feel more confident than before. Looking forward to sharing more fitness posts with you guys! What do you want to see next?cheers!
