Girls Night at My House!
Hey guys – hope you had a merry Christmas yesterday! I’m loving being with my family so much right now, but I have to say that over the holidays, I miss my girlfriends! I wish everyone (and I do mean everyone) I love could be in one place. I decided to remedy this by hosting a pre-holiday girls night before I left LA.
When it comes to girls nights, you can’t go wrong with a few bottles of wine, am I right ladies? So I picked up a few bottles from Skinnygirl® Cocktails – particularly the Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. It’s funny because usually I don’t like red wine (it’s usually too dry for me), but I actually love the Skinnygirl® Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s smooth and not bitter at all. Best of all, nobody can complain about the calories… deeeeeelish.
If you’re trying to plan a girls’ night or a party for friends, here are a couple of pairing options to try with your cocktails (it matters!). I know that around the holidays we tend to get bombarded with the cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes…all the dangerous C’s! So, I wanted to make a delicious spread that people didn’t have to feel too guilty about indulging in.
Fruit – grapes, strawberries, apples
Peanut butter Greek yogurt cinnamon dip (SO yum!)
Homemade popcorn – great snack, low guilt!
Veggies & hummus
Rosemary olive oil-infused crackers
Cheese – gouda & cheddar
Smoked turkey slices (thinly sliced)
Almond & sea salt infused dark chocolate pieces (mmmm!)
I hope you all have a fun, safe and happy New Year! See you in 2017! Cheers!
Special thanks to Skinny Girl for sponsoring my girls night!
