Just another day rompin’ around in LA! Let’s face it, rompers should really be called summer uniforms. I lost count of how many times I’ve worn one since the start of summer. This one has to be number 357.
I found the perfect excuse to wear this colorful romper out and about for a lunch date the other day. It was really easy to style with a pair of sandals, fun sunnies and a bold orange lip. I’ve been looking for a colorful floral print style like this forever. I love the pops of yellow, blue, green and light pink (all my fave colors). Is it weird that I think this romper would also look cute with a white tee underneath?
If you’re not in the mood to splurge on this one, check out some of the other affordable cute options below!
A big problem I run into every time I’m packing for a trip is narrowing down the amount of makeup products I can take with me. The struggle is real! I’m always getting new eyeshadow palettes but I can never take them with me because 1.) they take up too much space, and 2.) I only really use two colors in the 50 piece set. Oops. Regardless, I hate not having options to take with me.
Good news. There’s a solution. I recently learned that one of my favorite makeup brands Buxom has launched their new eyeshadow bar letting you customize your own 6-piece palette.
It all starts with choosing from 40 high-pigmented colors that are primer-infused, meaning that there’s no need to prep with a primer. The color will stay put! Buxom created 3 pre-made palettes to choose from if you are not up to creating your own customized palette. I decided to have fun with it and go through with customizing my own palette!
The hardest part was narrowing it down to 6 of my favorite shades. Before I got lost in all the pretty colors, I imagined what my ideal palette would look like. Instantly I was drawn to creating a Day to Night transition palette to match my lifestyle. The colors I chose in my palette are 3 light/warm tones for the daytime look and more dramatic silvery hues for the night. Obviously you have the choice to mix and match whatever colors you want, but I prefer subtle shades during the day and darker for night. I even added a little pop of purple for those daring nights when I want to spice things up.
Left to Right: Satin Seduction, Bold Bling, Star Treatment, Lacy Chic, Pure Platinum, Wild Nights (shop all)
I decided to test out my new customized palette and show you guys 2 looks I created. The first one below is day time inspired. This is an everyday makeup look I can wear at home, the office or on vacation. It’s light and natural. The eyeshadow colors I used here were Satin Seduction, Bold Bling and Star Treatment. I went for a light blush and nude lip. See products below
For the evening, I decided to spice things up by mixing the Lacy Chic and Pure Platinum eyeshadows together to create a smokey effect. I always went for a brighter blush color and darker lip. Va Va Voom! Keep in mind – the palette is refillable so you can play with as many colors and styles as you’d like.

Confession. I am the most indecisive person I know. Whether I’m at a restaurant deciding on the menu or at home contemplating over an Instagram filter, the struggle is real for me. #SazanProbs
My style is no different. I see the colors in my closet changing more often than the seasons. I could be shopping for casual pieces one day and in my closet you’ll find sparkly pieces and a tutu the next. It’s especially been challenging the past few months as a newly married gal trying to keep up with a busy schedule and look good for my man at the same time (can I get an amen!) I’m going somewhere with this vent session, I promise.
If there’s one thing that I appreciate about my indecisive nature – it’s the fact that I’m not afraid to change things up. I love my neutrals but my fun colors and playful prints too. Comfort is always key for me, so I love pairing loose bottoms with a loose top. It’s totally ok in a boho way!
I love that our new place is right by the NordstromRack. It’s so easy for me to just walk in there and see what they have on display. Even if I’m not buying anything, I love popping in because it gives me a visual of what trends are in. I couldn’t leave without some new things so I picked up these cute floral printed shorts. Instantly, I thought of a million ways I can style this statement piece. I love the cobalt blue color! Not too far away, I found the perfect loose top to match.
It’s all in the details. I love the cut-out statement on the back of the top as well as the little round tassels hanging on the bottom of the shorts. It ties the outfit together and keeps things fresh and fun. All I really needed was a cute long necklace to and boho bag to accessorize the look.
Gotta love summer. What styles/trends are you crushing on?

I’m so excited!!! I finally edited the first of a few videos that I will be sharing from Europe on my Youtube channel. The cool thing about these videos is seeing Stevie and I exploring all around Europe as a newly married couple. We decided to keep it 100, and we invite you to join us on our silly travel adventures. First stop: London, England! The video speaks for itself so I won’t give away too much information other than the fact that it’s one of my favorite videos I’ve edited to date! Hope you enjoy
I totally recommend subscribing tomy channel hereso you don’t miss a single video upload. There’s a slight chance now that I won’t be sharing all the video content that goes up on my channel to my blog (it’s a bit tedious doing both) so please follow my Youtube channel for updates!
If you follow me on SnapChat (SazanBarzani), then you’ve heard about my new app-session with Periscope app. Let me start by saying this is not a sponsored post for the app – I am literally obsazzed. No joke. It might have just surpassed Instagram and SnapChat for me (oh no she didn’t!)
In a nutshell, this Periscope app has been sitting on my home screen page on my IPhone for a couple of months now. When I heard about the app I figured, “oh it’s something I’ll just download and open when I have time.” That time finally came on Wednesday night when Stevie and I had two of our pals over for a date-night. When the boys went out to smoke a cigar, Raye and I decided to sit on the couch and do what girls do best – chit chat and talk about makeup (she’s also a Youtuber). I don’t remember how it came up but I mentioned how I’ve been hearing everyone talking about this Periscope app lately and if it’s something we should test out. She was fascinated to download it and try it out and so we did. It started with both of us accidentally realizing that we started a live session without knowing it. I think everyone who uses the app on their first try is like, “what is this?” #mindblown
Instantly I was hooked. It was like Face-time and SnapChat had a baby. I noticed that our “live broadcast” was now being displayed to users from around the world and being were entering the live stream. A little scary at first! The more I stayed on the app, I learned that basically you can pick and choose your live-stream settings, which live streams to watch and you can engage with users while watching. I saw people commenting and asking questions – many were fans from Twitter. I loved it!
I’m new to the app but I’ve already done a few live videos. You can ask me questions and it pops up on the bottom screen during the live session. I also have the option to save my live chats so that people can go back and watch it at a later time (note: the downside to this is you can only watch – not interact). Another cool feature is if someone you’re following “goes live”, you can get a notification on your phone so that way you won’t miss it!
It’s genius. I’ll admit another down-side is not knowing what creepers are watching and the kinds of questions you will be asked (I recommend do NOT tag your location!) The plus side (for influencers especially) is literally getting to hang out with your fans all around the world at one time. I’m already thinking about hosting live Q&A sessions, some quick tutorials and even sharing my personal experiences through out the day. I already feel closer to my loyal followers and I want to get to know more of you through the app! Unfortunately with IG and Snapchat, we don’t have that capability yet. To all my fellow bloggers note: It’s raw so people will really see YOU. aka No filters ya’ll!!! #ahhhhhh
It’s live and if you love to talk and entertain people (I sure do ha) – you will love it.
I currently have 3 broadcasts that went live on the app that you can go back and watch. My user name is SazanBarzani so make sure to add me after you download the PERISCOPE appand check it out!
I saved the best for last. Today I’m sharing the experience we had in Paris, Frace! I don’t know where to start. Besides it being the most expensive city ever (lol), I loved every minute of it.
When we arrived in Paris with our Contiki family, we wasted no time and headed straight to the Eiffel Tower. It was the perfect time in the late afternoon right before the golden hour. It was so nice that we didn’t have to wait in the long line (one of the amazing perks of doing a Contiki tour) so our adrenaline was pumping with excitement! It was a bucket list moment for me when we took the elevator up to the very top. I couldn’t believe I was about to experience the famous Eiffel Tower. The cherry on top of it all was the fact that I had my man right by my side. It was seriously the best feeling.
When we got to the top, my breath was taken away by the gorgeous view. I kept screaming to Stevie, “OMG WE’RE IN PARIS!!!!!!!” It felt like we were on top of the world.
This was just the beginning. We spent the next day exploring the city and getting lost of course. We decided to help one of our new Contiki friends plan his proposal to his girlfriend. My job was to hold the ring in my purse (so nerve-wrecking!!!) and to keep her distracted while him and Stevie navigated to the proposal location. I was soon excited for them! (You’ll see more of this in the Europe vlog soon). P.S We did the Love Lock Bridge! (even though they’re removing locks because of how heavy it’s getting). It was still fun for us to experience as a newly married couple.
For our last night in Paris with Contiki, we all went to a cabaret show which was seriously one of the funnest nights we remember from our trip. It included a delicious 3-course meal (drinks included!!) in the most intimate setting. The show was fantastic. It included so many fun acts. We saw dancers, magicians and laser beam acts! So fun!
What’s a trip to Paris without visiting Laduree? Mmmm!!
I kept it pretty casual in Paris since I knew there was a lot to see! I wanted to enjoy exploring so I traded in my heels for comfortable shoes. If you want outfit details, you can shop all the looks directly below

Buongiorno! That means hello in Italian. One of the countries I was really looking forward to the most was Italy. We got to see Venice, Rome and Florence.
When I think of Venice, I will forever think of romance. As a newly married couple, Stevie and I were really excited to experience our first gondola ride together. We went through all of the canals overlooking gorgeous scenes all around us. We even saw where George Clooney got married! (Naturally, I freaked out.) Venice was so charming and petite! Later that evening we enjoyed a Venetian feast with our Contiki friends. My favorite part of the night had to be the accordion player who was getting us hyped on classic Italian jams!
And then came Rome. My mind was blown in Rome. I mean this in the best way. We spent the day touring the ancient ruins and Colosseum. So breathtaking to see ancient history still standing! One of my favorite moments from my entire trip however was getting to tour The Vatican and stand in the Sistine Chapel. Everywhere I looked (especially up!) I was mesmerized.
When I walked into the Sistine Chapel (the holy-ist place in the world – we weren’t allowed to take pics) I felt like I was in heaven. I was in awe. The thought that kept running through my mind was, “How could one man paint this entire chapel so colorfully and beautifully detailed.” Suddenly, I became so fascinated with Michael Angelo. It’s incredible what one human being can do when he is called upon. I wondered how many people during his time doubted him. I was inspired. We learned that after he completed the art for the Sistine Chapel, he went blind. It wasn’t hard to believe after seeing his masterpiece.
As we quietly stood with what seemed like over 100 people inside of this chapel, I spotted a glimpse at what stood front and center. My breath was taken away. Suddenly my attention wasn’t on the art anymore. It wasn’t on the people around me. It wasn’t on Steve. There on a wooden cross, stood my Lord and Savior, Jesus. Not actual Jesus of course, but the perfect statue of Him. He looked so real that I began fighting back tears. I saw pain, I saw glory, and I saw peace on His face. I was overwhelmed with emotions because I felt so spiritually overwhelmed by the love of God. It was the first time in months that my mind was clear and I could hear Jesus telling me, “I’m proud of you.” I needed to hear that. God knew I needed that.
We couldn’t end our time in Rome without trying their delicious food. After the tour ended, we grabbed pizza and gelato! I felt like Sophia Loren in this little outfit I decided to wear for our jam-packed (and scorching hot!) day in Rome.
(Outfit Details) Top: Abercrombie (can’t find online, shop similar) | Skirt: Charlotte Russe (n/a, shop similar here+ here) | Sandals: Gap (28$ on sale, comes in black and white too!) | Sunglasses: Celine (similar)
Our Italian adventure ended in Florence, where we had the *Kanye West voice* BEST GELATO OF ALL TIME. Stevie and I decided to have a date night at the coziest little restaurant (can’t remember the name!!!!) where we had the best food of our entire trip. We tried this awesome ravioli that was stuffed with pear and cheese on top of a white creamy sauce. IT WAS SO GOOD! My mouth is watering right now thinking about it. Oh – and I accidentally ate chicken liver and didn’t know it until Steve said something. Oops! Of course after he said that, I spit it out like the movies and stopped eating it.
Hope you enjoyed this post. I’ll be sharing my final diary entry on PARIS tomorrow so stay tuned! I’m also working on the video version of our trip so get ready for that soon.
Our day in Austria started with a scenic drive up the mountains where we had the option to participate in white water rafting. I was too terrified to try it (surprisingly I wasn’t the only one) so I stayed behind with a small group. Stevie said he wasn’t going to do it either (mostly because he didn’t want me to feel alone!) but I told him I’m a big girl and he needed to do it! He lives for that stuff. He’s such an adventurer and I knew he would enjoy the thrill. As he put his wet suit on, I snapped a bunch of pictures of him and was saying dramatic things like, “PLEASE DON’T LET GO. I LOVE YOU, JACK!!!!” (Titantic)

Two hours later we met up and I could tell by the look on his face that he had a great time. My first thought was, “YAY MY HUSBAND IS ALIVE!” ha! He swears I could’ve handled it so part of me wishes I did it now!
I didn’t regret it for too long because shortly after we headed to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Museum for a tour. This was definetly an activity right up my alley. It was pretty awesome – especially if you’re bling-obsessed. My two favorites were the swarovski-covered head-piece and sparkly Cinderella slipper!
Stevie surprised me with a gift from the gift shop. I died. It was this love necklace I was eye-ing the whole time. He’s the best! I told him I’m never going to take it off (in my dramatic Titanic voice of course hehe.)
After a long day of activity with little rest, I was super excited to get back to the hotel to unwind before dinner and a tour that we had planned for the evening. We experienced a home-cooked Austrian feast at the hotel with some of our new Contiki friends which was a highlight for me. Shortly after dinner, we experienced a Schnappy train ride tour of the small town where we stayed. It was one of the most scenic drives I’ve ever experienced. Instantly, we could see why this area was so popular during the winter for skiing. Everything was super green and mountainous.
The sun was going down so the breeze was so nice and calm! Half way through the train tour, we were greeted by a cute little Austrian boy (the tour guides son) who was holding a silver tray with shots of Schnapps (aka strong booze) waiting for us. I couldn’t handle it. I’m pretty weak! LOL I did make some new friends (baby rabbits!) which I held and almost dropped. Oops. When Steve and I got back to the hotel we decided to go for a quiet walk and clear our minds before a good night’s rest. We knew we had a jam packed day ahead of us!

L U C E R N E
I’m going to jump to our time spent in Lucerne, Switzerland (even though after Austria we went to Italy..still working on that post!). We spent some time in Lucerne where I experienced riding in my first cable-car up a mountain. IT WAS FUN,SCARY,BEAUTIFUL AND DID I MENTION SCARY. ha! I’m not a huge fan of heights but it was totally worth it when we got up to the top. We could see a perfect view of the Swiss Alps. We took a 20 minute hike once we got up to the top of the hill to get an even more awesome view. It was breathtaking!!! (and a nice little workout)
Later that evening we joined the Contiki group for an unforgettable boat ride tour of Lucerne. The water was crystal blue and we were surrounded by huge mountains. Pictures won’t do it justice! The next morning, we walked to the cutest area (it was like a Farmer’s Market) right on the water where I found a green juice stand!!!! You have no idea how much this meant to me after eating so bad everyday. ha At this point in the trip I could feel my body crying for greens which definitely gave me a boost of energy. (Note: we had been running on 5 hours of sleep every night since this was a fast-paced tour. No time for sleep!)
The evening we arrived in Amsterdam with our Contiki crew, we quickly changed and hopped on a boat that gave us a tour around the city. It was so fun! During this mini tour, we discovered the “love bridge.” The tour guide said if you and your lover kiss while passing through it for the first time, you’ll be together forever. Since it was our first time in Amsterdam (and I’m a cheesy person) we totally went in for it. We’re newly married so it was totally appropriate. It was a cool little moment experiencing that with all the other couples on board.
After the boat ride, we had some free-time so we decided to walk through the famous Red-light District to see what it’s all about. Everyone kept saying that when you’re in Amsterdam you’ve got to check out the Red-light District. I honestly didn’t know what it was until we got there. LOL The only highlight I took from that experience was getting to meet some of my followers who came up to me and Steve to say hi. We probably lasted about 10 minutes until Steve and I looked at each other and decided to turn around and call it a night (after we tried Vlaamse fries of course!) #WereSoFun
The next day we had some free time in the morning before heading back to the coach. We decided to try and visit the Anne Frank house but it was raining and their was a 2 hour wait. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it but when I stood in front of the house and looked at it I got really choked up. I could from the window the spiral staircase and small room. I kept thinking wow, I can’t imagine what life was like for Anne and her family in there.
Now we’re off to Rhine Valley, a small hidden gem in Germany. We checked into a mom-and-pop hotel that was super cozy. The first night we arrived, they made us a home-cooked german meal that was super intimate with a gorgeous view overlooking the city. I spotted a Birkenstocks store and learned that the in-again shoes originated in Germany. (and they’re way cheaper!)
After dinner, we joined several travelers from our Contiki group for wine tasting in a 600 year old underground cellar! I just recently became a wine person (it totally relaxes my crazy self) so I was excited we participated in this activity. I think the most unique taste was trying their famous ‘Ice Wine’ which was sooooooo sweet like honey. We were going to buy a bottle to bring back home with us, but we both decided it was way too sweet to sip on. (They served it to us in a shot glass because a normal glass is unbearable..and I usually prefer the sweeter wines!) We wrapped up our time in Rhine Valley with a walking tour the next morning and a little shopping. I made it my mission to find the perfect post-card everywhere we went to add to our trip collection.
After Rhine Valley, we drove up to Munich! We didn’t stay longer than 1 day (so we didn’t take too many pics!) but after getting an appetizer taste of the city I definitely want to go back. The night-life in Munich was a blast! The culture is so diverse and everyone knows how to live in the moment and have a good time. If you’re a beer lover (I’m not but Stevie enjoys it), you’ll definitely need to visit their Hoffbrau (spellng?) Beer House and Beer Gardens – super fun. After learning that the pretzel originated in Germany – I just had to try one while we were in Munich! (This one had a light/creamy butter spread in the middle)
I’m back in the States but still living in the European state of mind (aka I’m super jet lag). I’m already taking a look back on my adventure in Europe and wishing I could have spent more time in all of the amazing countries we got to see. Let’s rewind back to the first stop on our European Discovery Trip with Contiki shall we?
First stop: London England. Stevie and I landed in London early in the morning on May 27th. I like that we got there early because we were able to fight off the jet lag with our excitement to explore the city. My first thought arriving in London was omg I love the English accents. ha! I kept trying to rock the accent and I sucked at it! During our London trip, we indulged in all of the touristy stuff since it was mine and Steve’s first time seeing the UK. We got a fast pass and decided to jump on the London Eye where we got an amazing view of the city. We were so mesmerized by the Parliament building and all of the historical statues surrounding it. I love how chill London is. No one seems to be in a rush – which is nice considering Los Angeles is the total opposite. We laid in a park for what seemed like hours one afternoon and enjoyed the london breeze and of course – people watching. I made up a game with Steve and told him every time we spot someone wearing a trench coat we had to kiss. Am I cheesy or am I cheesy?
O U T F I T S
Here are a few of my favorite looks that I wore in London. Keep in mind that I was only aloud to bring ONE SUITCASE (Contiki rules) with me for 20 days of traveling.
We spent a lot of time outside and it would get chilly so I took advantage of wearing this mod trench coat over and over again. It definitely came in handy!
This little chambray jumpsuit (ties at the waist!) was super comfy and great for exploring.
For our last night in London (I didn’t want to leave!) my sweet husband decided to take me out to a FANTASTIC restaurant called The Bull. I wore a little black romper from Misguided that you can style in 12 different ways. We had the most amazing Argentinian steaks that made both of our mouths water. SO GOOD!!!!!
The highlight of my London trip has got to be the meet and greet I organized with Virgos Lounge/V-Label. Five of my top followers were randomly selected to come have a tea party with me (the London way – aka at The House) and it was so perfect! We hung out for hours sipping’ tea and eating triangle-cut sandwiches and sweets. My favorite part were the deep personal stories and laughs in between that I will never forget. #MyLondonBaes
Stevie was there too and being his crazy self. ha! When I learned that some of these sweet girls left their jobs and drove hours to come hang out with me for 2 hours – it truly felt undeserving. Words can’t express how much my online family means to me. I am lucky to have so many incredible supporters. Can’t wait to do more meet and greets like this where I can really sit down and just hangout with you guys. It’s my favorite perk from doing what I do!
