First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU for all the sweet engagement wishes!! You guys are seriously the best. Today I’m spotlighting my second love at the moment – summer maxi dresses. I scored this striped maxi dress last weekend at an outlet mall I stopped at on my drive back from Coachella. I’m also sharing some unique styles that are perfect for pairing with chic summer sandals. I love a petite style maxi dress because it totally proves that these dresses aren’t just for tall chicks! I’m 5’2 so it’s always a great day when I can sport a comfy dress like this with sandals instead of heels.
Check out some of my fave maxi dress styles for under $100 below. I think when it comes to shopping for a style online, be careful and make sure you check the height of the model in the description before you add it to your cart. The styles I chose below are true to size so as long as you follow the size guide you should be good to know.
Saz Tip: If you have a maxi dress that you love but it’s too long, ditch the sky high heels and pair it with a skinny belt at the waist. This can help lift the dress off the ground and give you some breathing room between the ground and your dress.
Today I am excited, nervous, and thrilled to share a secret I’ve been keeping from my digital world for the past few months. I’m ENGAGED! ahhh
I’ve been going back and forth for months on whether or not I should share the personal news. There are a number of reasons I’ve been keeping it a secret. But after months of hiding my beautiful engagement ring, I needed to be honest and open about it. Love is such a beautiful thing, but sometimes when you put your personal life out there it gives people an excuse to have an opinion about it. I was so happy after I got engaged that I decided to cherish this special moment in my life with close family, friends and fellow acquaintances.
I’ve been actively posting my fashion and beauty tips with you guys for the past 4+ years and honestly didn’t know how to break the news. It gets really tricky (let me tell you!) when you try to separate your professional life from your personal life. Especially when your job consists of being yourself!? ha After I got engaged, I felt like I was taking it back to the traditional days (ie. you know when people didn’t share their engagement photos 5 minutes after it happens on social media?) and it was kind of nice! I was happy and that’s all that mattered.
Before he was my photographer and business partner, Stevie was my best friend. We met in college (University of North Texas!) 4 years ago and truthfully it was God who brought him into my life at the perfect time. The more I fell in love with him, the more I let go of my fears. I reached a crossroads in my life when I knew I needed to actively start pursuing the life I wanted. This meant going against a lot of people’s wishes for my life and to take a chance on my own. I am so glad I did. I’ve never met anyone as loving, kind, supportive, handsome and funny as this guy. No one makes me happier and no one can put up with crazy Sazan like he can! He might be white with freckles on the outside, but he’s got major flavor on the inside. His favorite food is Kurdish Dolma and he speaks my native language better than me hahaha We joke because he says I’m whiter than him.
How gorgeous is the ring? Stevie had it custom made – it’s a classic hearts and arrow round cut diamond in a cushion setting! It’s my dream ring!!!! I didn’t even tell him what ring I wanted (as long as it was’t pear-shaped LOL) so I was so impressed!!!!
Lastly, I want to thank all of you who take the time to visit my little life through my blog daily. You guys are my motivation! It’s so crazy to think that very soon I will be married. The past 6 months of planning have taken up all of my free time, but I’m so excited and can’t wait for this new journey in my life!

I’m currently in sunny Palm Springs for Coachella weekend one – and loving every minute of it. This year I decided to skip out on the festival and enjoy the cool desert vibes. (ie. pool parties, tanning, delicious food and of course – the fashion!) One perk I’ve noticed that comes with Coachella is all the festival inspired styles available on my fave shopping sites. I found the perfect romper for my weekend.
I recently discovered Missguided’sfestival collectionand instantly knew I was in Coachella heaven. I seriously wanted everything in sight. I’m a huge fringe fanatic, so picture my face when I saw all of the fringe items under this tab. After an hour of seriously contemplating on what to get, I narrowed it down to this neutral toned fringe romper. I love that the fringe straps can be worn on or off your shoulders. It’s definitely a cute eye-catcher in comparison to the traditonal ‘ole romper. I’m obsazzed!
The cool thing about bringing out the boho is you don’t have to be at a festival to rock boho pieces all summer long! Below are some of the pieces I fell in love with on the Misguided festival collection. Feel free to shop them directly below or shop all of the styles here.
By now, you guys know I’m obsazzed with color. The older I’m getting (OMG 5 years from 30!!!!) the more my style is becoming more sophisticated slash minimal chic. I think the new haircut is also a reason for this. LOL Anyways, I’m focusing less on trends and trusting my mood/personality on a specific day to help get me dressed.
I had some downtime last week to shop and check out some of my favorite cheap-but-chic stores. I didn’t realize that the Beverly Center mall in LA had a Uniqlo store (since when!!??) so I decided to check it out. Instantly, I was drawn to their baby blue cotton linen shorts that has a built-in little belt at the waist. I was drawn between this color and the military green shade. When I saw this baby blue striped button-up not too far away from the shorts I knew it was a sign I should keep the palette blue! This is a preppy and fun look that I decided to pair with heels to make it look more posh instead of school-girl. Ya feel me?
Happy Monday cuties! I’ve been getting tons of requests from you guys to share my beach waves hair routine so I decided to do a tutorial. Since cutting my hair super short, I’ve become a fan of the tousled waves look on my lob! Today on my channel you’ll see a super quick and easy how-to for creating effortless beach waves in minutes! No surprises here! It’s a really easy and fun look to try for spring/summer. Spice things up
Rise and shine it’s a new day and I’m wide awake and excited to share today is the launch of my BYOB video series! For the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing weekly videos + blog posts on strategies and tips for anyone who is trying to figure out how to BE YOUR OWN BOSS!

This first video is an intro to the series. You are going to learn a little bit about the series, a background story on how I got started blogging and fun little facts you may or may not know about the business.
As many of you know, I’ve been blogging longer than Youtubing so in the video I refer to the term “blogging” a lot. Generally I speaking about blogging but as the series goes on I will dive deeper into the digital world outside of blogging. Just an FYI..
I hope you enjoy this series and leave my videos feeling inspired! Subscribeto my channel to get updates on the next upload and ask me any questions by commenting on the video after or using the hashtag #BYOBSazTips with your question so I can see it across social media!
Keep in mind that the thoughts expressed from these videos are my own personal opinions that have come from my own experience. No two people have the same experiences so keep that in mind please
I’m so sprung on spring right now! I don’t know if it’s the new chic haircut or what, but I’m noticing a style transition in my wardrobe. I’m currently into the whole posh/sophisticated/ chic look. I’ve been hooked on neutrals but still keeping it Sazan with a little pop of color. I actually wore this outfit on my Access Hollywood segment last Wednesday in case it looks familiar. I’ll be on again tonight so be sure to check your local listings for tonight’s taping of the show (and what I wear..obv)!
On total side note – tomorrow I will be launching my BYOB series!!! It’s my ‘Be Your Own Boss’ series which will be an online mentorship mini-guide on my blog and Youtube channel every week. I was literally driving the other day when the idea popped up in my head. I don’t want to give too much away in this post but I will say that my crazy little self actually has a hidden talent in teaching. It all started when I spoke at The Simply Stylist panel years ago and didn’t realize how many people would leave so inspired by my little speech! Since speaking on tons of panels since, I’m so ready to launch this across all my channels. The cool part? All my international readers get to be a part of this. hehe
My goal for this series is to help you understand the business behind blogging and youtubing (yes it’s a business!) and advice on things I’ve learned over the past 4-plus years. This is a mini-series so it’s not going to be able to cover every single topic, BUT if this goes well I hope to continue creating more content. You guys know I’m a pretty open book so expect nothing but honest answers and real advice.
Tomorrow’s first digital session is going to cover: INTRODUCTION
• Intro to the BYOB series
• Who is Sazan? (Before the dot me)
• Fun and Crazy Facts about blogging/youtube/digital space. (some will make you laugh)

Spring is calling! I just uploaded a new video to my channel and wanted to share it with you guys! It’s all about the colorful eye-liner for spring and summer this season, so I went ahead and gave this trend a try. I think wearing brighter shades on your lids is totally fine as long as it’s done tastefully in a fun way – nothing too crazy.
I decided to trade in my black cat-eye for a bold pink look and matching lip. It’s a really easy tutorial to create. See for yourself! Be sure to comment below your fave spring colors right now. Watch below
Hey guys! First of all it’s Friday. Yaaaaay! Second, I was planning on sharing a Youtube video with you guys but I haven’t had a chance to edit it yet so I’ll just have to wait until Monday. Womp,Womp. On a lighter note, I just got a new gig on TV! I will be hosting weekly MyHabit style segments on Access Hollywood twice a week (Every Thursday morning and Wednesday evening). This is my second week in and I’ve received awesome feedback from the team and all of you guys so thanks for the kind words! I plan on sharing a vlog (at some point) to show you guys what goes on behind the scenes! Hang tight!
Today I’m sharing all the details behind this littlenavy jumpsuitI wore from Kelly Osbourne’s collection called Stories by KO. Rompers are always great to turn to when you want to be comfortable but chic at the same time. I’m 5’2” and petite so it’s not everyday that I find a jumpsuit that fits. As you can see, I rolled up the bottom for an edgy touch but it’s just a personal style preference. The length actually sits perfectly right at the ankle before I scrunched it up incase you wanted to know!
If it wasn’t the first thing you noticed – my hair is in full Mufasa mode! I let it air dry the night before and ran a small curling wand through it to keep the mane looking tamed. I’m still in the experimental phase trying various hairstyles on my new short hair so hopefully many tutorials to come. Should I share a tutorial on this hairstyle?
P.S On a somewhat totally random note, I’m going to start sharing my current favorite apps. I know there are tons of apps out there so hopefully I can help through my personal obsazzions. I currently have tons on my phone that range from games to photo editors and even some fun fashion apps. I’ll try to sprinkle one in my posts every now and then in case you’re on the hunt to try a fun new one! My latest download is theWear.jpApp – heard of it? Basically it’s an app that makes it easy to create, share, and shop with the global fashion community. Personally, I have been using it to draw inspiration on those days when I feel like I don’t know what in the world to wear ( & yes! I totally have those days!!! #sazanprobs). I’m always inspired by all the street style out there. I recently started a page socheck it out!
Spring has officially come knocking on my door! Just the other day we hit 90 degrees in LA, which can only mean one thing… it’s time to get those pedicures and show off your toes! I got my hands on two colorful open-toe styles from Nine West that inspired me to create an outfit guide to help you transition into the new season. So if you’re looking for a little outfit inspiration (with Easter right around the corner!), I hope this helps.
First up, I’m pretty sure a colorful and printed dress is a must for spring. A dress like this makes it easy to look festive for Easter and stylish at the same time. Best of all – I found the perfect pink heelsto match. I love a comfy peep-toe shoe. You can wear this style casually during the day or dress it up for a fun night! (Saz tip: If you’re daring with your wardrobe, try styling these heels with light-weight socks. Take it from the runway to the realway)
My next look is channeling sophisticated, edgy and chic all in one. This spring I feel like it’s going to be a hot trend to match your bold bottoms with your shoe color. This cobalt blue skirt met it’s match with these peek-a-boo cut-out heels. (Saz tip: If you have skinny chicken ankles like me, go for a higher rise heel like these. It helps flatter!)
Now I’m really pumped for Easter! I’m sure plenty more outfit ideas are on the way but in the meantime, which of these two looks is your fave?!
