The 21st Annual SAG Awards happened in LA Sunday night and I was sooo lucky (seriously pinch me) for getting to be a part of it. I joined Lo Bosworth and Marianna Hewitt as a social media corespondent for TNT. We got to opportunity to explore the entire Shrine Auditorium as well as cover behind the scenes moments from the red carpet. I seriously had the best time! I felt like a little girl in a candy store seeing all of my favorite actors and actresses up close and personal. Obviously, I tried to play it cool (yea right) and snapped a bunch of selfies and video moments that I can cherish forever. With all of the content I gathered, I decided to edit this cute little vlog for my youtube channel that shares some of my favorite moments from Sunday. My dress was Dior and I seriously never wanted to take it off. I’ll shut up now. Watch below!
What’s a red carpet without the fashion right? The biggest trend of the night I noticed was the color white. Some were a hit and others I wish I could white-out. ( I just had to with the pun there! lol) After seeing all the dresses in person, It was nice actually being able to make my decisions based off real life instead of after-pictures! Surprisingly none of picks are wearing white. I narrowed it down to my top 3 favorite looks below..
1. Lupita N’yongo – Before you possibly freak out..I have to say she looked breath-taking in person you guys! She can do a dress no wrong. She looked so tall and beautiful! (Fun story- I saw her walking out of the bathroom and I literally fan-girled.)
2. Caitriona Balfe- This dress instantly caught my eye on the carpet. It fit her so perfectly. I’ll admit it had me saying, “Who is that chick!?” After this, I’ll never forget her name. She looked like an absolute star.
3. Julianne Moore – This girl was born to wear the color green this good. I love how she never does anything too crazy with the styles she wears on the carpet but she always takes color risks! My kind of girl!
Who were your favorite stars from the night!? I want to know!!
Happy Friday! As the seasons change and we age – there’s one thing that will never fade. My motto lately? When in doubt, go denim. My love for this fabric has grown over the years. There was a time however when I was so obsessed with patterned skirts and dresses that I never wore denim anything. I guess you can say I’m making up for lost times!
It may not technically be spring but lately in California it definitely feels like it. My wardrobe has totally transitioned already from fall/winter to spring/summer. Too soon? I’ve noticed that it’s never a bad idea to go with a midi skirt. It’s a longer style skirt so you can even wear it during the colder seasons to stay styling! I did my research and have learned it’s a classic trend that truly started to re-blossom over the past few years. There are countless colors, styles and prints if you’re a midi-skirt-addict. I think if you are a newbie to this trend (like me) than go with a black skirt that you can style a million times over like this one from Sam Edelman.
I decided to go with the Cali flow and pair mine with a cute crop-top to keep things fresh and flirty. The style of this one is perfect because it’s not too tight which I like.
Lastly, how stunning are these pointed-toe heels? I saw them at the Sam Edelman store in Beverly Hills and instantly fell in love. Like I kind of started gasping for air. There’s something about a shiny nude statement pump that gets me every time. Bling Bling.
What trend(s) are you guys excited to rock this spring/summer?

Strapless in stripes today! There’s no doubt after sharing this post today that I am more than ready for spring to arrive thanks to this little striped Cameo dress. Real talk, I’ve never been a huge “tube-top” dress kind of gal (my girls can’t hang if ya know what I’m sayin’) but, there’s just something so special about the way this particular dress fits. I was excited to wear it out last week since we’ve been experiencing beautiful weather in LA right now. It’s crazy to think how chilly it is around the globe. I’m starting to prep for NYC in a few weeks and I know it’s going to be colddddddddd! #BURRR However, I think this dress would also look super cute for the winter styled with maybe a pair of hosiery, booties and a leather jacket? I may have to take it with me and see.
I’m glad I finally found the perfect outfit to wear these bow-strap heels. I’ve had them for a few months now but haven’t really taken them out on the town. I do this a lot with my new shoes. LOL It’s like you wait for the perfect shoe moment to give them the respect that they deserve! I love how these will instantly add a feminine touch to compliment/accessorize any look.

Today on my Youtube channel, I shared 10 uses for coconut oil. The deeper I’m digging in my research, the more shocked I become at the hundreds of ways you can use coconut oil. I decided to narrow it down to some of my personal favorites. P.S It isn’t just for cooking: it’s also a great alternative to add into your beauty life.
I hope you leave this video feeling entertained and informed. Some of these will totally shock you! Enjoy.
I’m a new fan of the matching set. When it comes to trying new things in my wardrobe, I’m always craving something fun and daring. Throw a fun pattern on anything and I’ll wear it. These neutral colors on this matching set make me feel edgy and sporty at the same time. I love how flattering the cut-out print details make this look. Although a sweatshirt like this can make you look/feel top heavy – the pattern really takes the attention away from feeling like a bubble. I don’t usually rock this kind of style but it’s 2015 and I’m ready to take risks in all areas of my life (and in my closet!)
Speaking of 2015, is it bad that I still haven’t figured out my New Year’s resolution? What are your resolutions? Maybe yours will help inspire mine. haa #helpasistaout
