Hey friends! Today I’m sharing an exotic eyes tutorial that I created for you on my Youtube channel! Since being here in Kurdistan, I have been so inspired by all of the beautiful things around me – from the nature to the yummy food and pretty women of all shapes and sizes. One thing I’ve noticed is the women out here loveeee their bold eye makeup! I’m not one to rock this look everyday but it’s definitely one that I don’t mind playing with. Some of you may hate me when I say the ‘K’ word, but I feel like the Kardashians really took this Middle Eastern inspired trend and made it globally glamorous. I decided to jump on the trend-wagon and create my version of this hot smokey eye that hopefully you’ll give a try. If any of you ladies are really in the mood to spice things up, you can also try this look with colorful eye-liner shades like green or blue. Totally exotic meets summer. I hope you enjoy the video! Would love if you could subscribe to my Youtube for more upcoming videos! Happy watching!
Finally. A printed jumpsuit that fits my tiny 5’2” frame. I recently spotted this at Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale and the color and print instantly caught my eye. I don’t have many jumpsuits because I can never find a style that fits right. Does anyone else have that problem? However, I love love love them so much that I’m always hoping and praying it fits when I try one on in the fitting room. I totally hit the jackpot with this one and the fact that it was on sale for a limited time, I mean come on! I couldn’t pass up. You can honestly dress this cool summer jumpsuit casually or fancy like I did. I decided to add asparkly belt to give it a glamorous touch and pretty orange earrings.

Today I’m celebrating the launch of Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale with you which is so major you don’t want to brush this sale off your shoulders! For those who aren’t familiar, Nordstrom does this AMAZING annual sale where tons of their brands release their fall collections at hugely discounted prices. Basically you can get next season’s hottest trends at such an affordable cost. The sad part? It’s for a limited time only. #poop!
Although I’m in Kurdistan, I was lucky enough to grab some goodies from their sale before I left (thank you Nordstrom!). I bought tons of stuff so I decided to create 2 outfit series to show you what I bought! This is the first one. I love mixing denim with practically anything and everything. It’s such a timeless print. You can never go wrong with having a denim button-up (or two!) in your closet. I paired mine with this glamorous sequin skirt that I can instantly see myself styling a million times over for various occasions. I just had to have it! I think my favorite thing about this outfit though are the shoes. Can I get an OMG heart in the eyes Emoji!?!? They’re Steve Madden and my eyes were instantly drawn to the pretty cobalt blue and straps! With the sale going on these are currently marked down to $89! Get them while they’re hot, ladies!
Stay tuned for my second outfit from the #NSALE!

I got to explore Kurdistan more over the past few days and I’m enjoying the beauty and soaking up as much of it as I can! I hope you all are joining me on the adventure at #sazantravels on my Instagram (@sazanbarzani).
I am trying to keep as cool as possible (while still wearing appropriate attire) so I decided to rock all white for a chill day out and about at the Hawler street market and cute shops. A crisp white button-up was all I needed to keep me calm and cool in this 100 degree+ desert. It’s another really great what I like to call, ‘re-piece,’ a piece you can repeat over and over. (similar option here). Since I was channeling a chic look, I kept my hair in a high pony tail and wore black accessories with a pop of leopard to stand out. #SoSazan
Hawler/Erbil is such a beautiful place that I’m glad I got to experience. There was literally so much history around me that I can’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the moment. It was great getting to see the ancient citadel in the city which has been around since B.C! It literally gave me chills looking at it. Shopping in Hawler was also great (I’m going back soon for more!) – It reminded me of that scene in Sex and The City 2 when Carrie was shopping around in the Souk! I found the cutest handmade bag (see it below) which is super colorful and middle-easterny.
Hope you’re having a fantastic week! I can’t wait to share more from here in Kurdistan!
Good afternoon from the Middle East! I am so happy to be here in Kurdistan with my family! To update you, I traveled about 16 hours to get here and the time difference is 10 hours in front of Los Angeles time. So crazy! I’ve been taking it easy the past few days trying to adjust to the time because it’s been very difficult! So far, I’ve been enjoying family time, good food and a little bit of shopping! It’s been 8 years since I last visited Kurdistan and boy it has changed so much! (in a good way) They have everything here now – it’s so great to see society advance!
This outfit I’m sharing today I wore on my first day here (as many of you saw a peek of on my IG). I bet you can’t tell it’s like 100 degrees outside! A light-weightblazer and relaxed trousers are going to be key for me on this trip. It’s so hot here but I’m showing my respect to the culture by dressing more conservative and refined. Basically, I don’t have to shave my legs while I’m here so what’s not to love? haha kidding. By the way I shot this on our roof. The homes here in Kurdistan are so cool because you can chill/lounge on the rooftop like it’s no big deal.
I also want to mention it isn’t mandatory here for women to cover their heads with a scarf. There’s this misconception sometimes that women in the Middle East are covered up from head-to-toe. That isn’t the case here as women are given the choice to decide if they want to wear it.
I’m having such a great time creating memories with my family, relaxing and eating yummy Kurdish food! I can’t wait to explore more and share pictures with you guys!
