As we say goodbye to summer, get ready to say hello to the fall trends! Here’s the perfect back to school outfit idea that won’t break the bank or dress code. I put together this outfit collage inspired by the cool girl style which I love. The entire look costs a little over 100 bucks and you can re-wear every piece a million times again. I am really into fun graphic tees paired with casual bottoms. I think comfort is definitely key for school (aka leave the high-heels at home pleaseee), but that doesn’t mean you can’t add a little somethin’ extra to make you stand out in the hallways. I personally love the idea of adding fun accessories and/or bold shoes to back your casual outfit up with some pizazz. Shop above: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4
H&M x K.I.D.S. | Fashion Delivers: I’m gearing up for fall with H&M to bring you some ideas for back to school outfits! First off, shopping for school clothes can be a pain (I’ve been there). Second, if you’re chasing style on a budget H&M currently has some of the best in back to school styles starting at $9.95. Say whaaat? So cheap!!! When you’re out school shopping for clothes the biggest staple I recommend you keep an eye out for is denim. You can dress it up or down and re-style it over and over. When I was in school I’ll admit I wore my favorite pair of jeans sometimes 2-3 times a week – with no regrets. Best of all, they’re giving back even more. H&M is teaming up with K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers by giving a piece of denim to a person in need for every piece of denim purchased during this time.
This is such an amazing cause that donates unused product to individuals and families in need and I hope each of you will take part in the campaign! All H&M stores and even on-line are participating in this campaign so make sure to get in on the action. Some of the jeans are retailing for $10 so know that every purchase counts!
P.S. H&M has shared that you can enjoy 15% off your entire purchase when you provide a valid student/teacher ID upon checkout in H&M stores now. See – there’s something in it for everyone!
Who’s Ready for New York Fashion Week SS15? Let’s flashback to last year this time.
With New York Fashion week in less than one month, I’m obviously freaking out and don’t know what to wear and/or pack. In the midst of prepping for Jamaica this weekend, Vegas, the Emmys, and New York Fashion Week in September, I thought it would be fun to take a moment and calm my brain with a Flashback Friday inspiration post sharing the many outfits I wore to New York Fashion Week last year. First, it’s so crazy how fast time flies. Second, it’s even more crazy to see how my style has evolved in one year. It goes to show how quick trends come and go in this fast-paced fashion industry that I can hardly keep up with myself! #SazanProbs
All crazy feelings aside, I am so excited to be going back to New York next month for some fun projects I have in store and of course all the amazing New York Fashion Week shows!!!!!!! The line-up this year looks like it’s going to be a good one. In other words, last year was fun but this year is going to be TURNT UP. ha (That’s my new fave thing to say). Anyways, I hope you enjoy these flashback pictures taken from my instagram, as well as the recap video I shot last year. I’m going to try to film more for my Youtube this season – it’s my mission!!!
Omg I never shot this look for the blog but I should have! I was so drained this day but was headed to a dinner event. I remember being so obsazzzzed with these leopard pants I found at Nordstrom Rack. I still have them! They are comfy and cute!
Awww this is such a bittersweet picture. It’s when I still had “SpazMag” as my blog title. I remember thinking, “Omg. I’m going to re-brand the blog soon and my followers don’t even know it!” #SurpriseSurpise Such a fun day.
Totally one of my faves. I was heading to Herve Leger’s SS14 runway show and got to wore one of their pretty dresses and leather jacket. I had to give the outfit back, but I loved getting to feel like a runway fashionista that day!
Dress + Belt + Clutch: BCBG Max Azria // Heels: N/A // Sunglasses: Nordstrom
I was heading to BCBG Max Azria’s show wearing one of their dresses. I seriously love how this dress fit my frame. It’s a little different than what I usually go for, but it was one of those rare occasions when my elegant/conservative side came out to play.
I rocked this colorful floral jumpsuit to Mara Hoffman’s SS14 show last year! I will never forget how amazing her runway show was. It was so inspirational. As for the heavy coat thing I was trying to rock… yea it instantly came off as soon as I went outside because NYC was very warm during this time of year!
Jeans: Nordstrom (old, shop similar) // Shirt: N/A (shop similar) // Floral Jacket: Zara // Bag: Halogen (old, shop similar) // Heels: Shoedazzle (similar style here) // Sunglasses: Nordstrom // Hat: Nordstrom (old, shop similar) // Ring: Azizeh Jewelry
This was one of the first times I wore the whole jacket wrapped around the waist style! After this trip, I became hooked and to this day I still love the 90’s inspired trend. Who knows maybe I’ll repeat a similar look this season?! Should I?
Jacket: Topshop // Pants: Nordstrom Rack (old, shop similar) // Crop top: Shoplunab (old, shop similar) // Hat: BCBGeneration (similar find here) // Heels: Jeffrey Campbell // Bag: Halogen (shop similar) // Cuff: Express (n/a, shop similar)
Told you I couldn’t get enough of these leopard pants when I was in NYC. I was also hooked on this crop top. I seriously need to get this denim jacket back – I left it at a blogger friend’s house and keep forgetting to pick it up. #hotmess
Track pants: Shoplunab (old, shop similar here) // Tank: n/a (shop similar) // Heels: Zara (old, shop similar) // Sunglasses: Nordstrom // Hat: Nordstrom (old, shop similar) // Cardigan: n/a (shop similar) // Bag: Nordstrom (old, shop similar)
Okay is it just me or was I totally into showing my belly last year?! lol! Good thing I shaved my stomach! (hahahahahah) Not even joking.
Which look was your favorite? After looking at these pics for inspiration, I’m definitely in the NYFW mood!! I hope you are too. I’m excited to change it up this season and rock different trends in the big apple. Okay now I’m really excited and almost want to pack. Keyword: almost.

Shirt: Forever 21 (old, shop similar + here) // Shorts: Nasty Gal *on sale // Bag: Just Fab (another cute style)// Heels: Shoedazzle // Cuff: Prima Donna (comes in silver too!) // Sunglasses: Celine (cheaper version here)
A print I’ve been wearing all summer long? Stripes, stripes and more stripes. I’ve been in such a stripes kind of mood lately and in fact all season long. First a little striped dress and now this vertical striped blouse tucked into my denim boyfriend shorts. I guess what I’m trying to say is, you can never have too many striped pieces in your closet. I don’t know what it is but I instantly feel chic when I’m wearing stripes.
And speaking of chic, I think all black accessories (including shoes!) are a great way to help tie a bold look together. You can’t go wrong with black. Ever.
Off to meetings I go. Hope you all have a great rest of the day!!

Happy Monday! I know Mondays suck, but I’m so glad to be back in LA today after a month of traveling. I’m still getting back into the swing of things (aka I’m still Jet-lag #helpme) so for today’s post I’m sharing my current obsazzion which happens to be makeup (shocker). I love buying makeup. Sometimes I find myself walking into a makeup store for one thing and then I leave with 10 things. #oops Is anyone else like that? (Don’t leave me hangin’!)
Long story longer, I’m not someone who is loyal to one brand of makeup. I know, I’m a little makeup slut as some will call it. Regardless of mixing and matching products in my makeup life, when I find something I like I usually stick to it. Stila Cosmetics is hands down my favorite brand for shopping eyeliners. I recently did a Youtube video using their smudge stick eyeliner and created an entire smokey eye pretty much using just that! (watch it here)
I was inspired to try more of their products since I loved the eyeliner so much. Check out my review of some new products I got and tested below!

Blush - This blush seriously made me blush (pun intended!). I LOVE LOVE this blush especially when I’m in the mood for wearing little makeup. It focuses on giving my cheeks a natural flushed look – which I adore! Shop the Shades: Camellia, Sweet Pea
Lip gloss – This lip gloss (you’ve prob seen like in this pic from my IG above) is currently my fave gloss that I own. No joke. It’s not just a regular ole’ lipgloss that fades away after two seconds of applying. This is one of the first matte lip glosses/stains I’ve found that won’t dry out my lips and make them look like a croissant basically. Shop the shade: NUDE Vinyl
Eyeliner – More like life-saver. This eye-liner seriously changed the game for me. The pigment is so rich and one I can count on. (plus the fact that it’s waterproof!) I just not discovered there is a rainbow of other shades available. Definitely need to try! Shop the shade: Stingray Jet Black
Liquid Eyeliner - If you’re a liquid eye-liner kind of gal (which I am too) Stila’s liquid eye-liner in a stick makes it really easy to create that perfect line. I will admit the pigment isn’t as rich as the smudge-stick eye-liner but it can be helpful to use to create the cat-eye shape and fill in with with another eye-liner as needed. Shop the Shade: Jet Black
The best advice I can give to those of you who are currently in the thought process of, “Omg it’s time to change my makeup,” visit your local Sephora or makeup store with a clean face and invest an hour or two of your time to sample different makeup products and brands. It’s so important to know your skin type before you go (I wrote about this before..read here) or ask a consultant when you’re there!

Pants: Lovers & Friends (old, shop similar here, here + here) // Denim shirt: Halogen // Heels: Steve Madden // Sunglasses: Ray Ban // Bag: K.slademade (cheaper option here) // Ring: Purchased in Kurdistan (shop similar)
Hello sparkleeees! When I said you can style this denim button-up with anything – clearly I meant it. When I threw this outfit together in Kurdistan, I was inspired by the Kurdish sequin pants that the culture wears underneath our traditional Kurdish dresses (it’s a custom that’s been around for decades). They are handmade to perfection. I’ve gone through so many sparkly colored pants since I was a kid that I wish I saved them for my future daughter (after I try really hard to squeeze into them myself). It’s so crazy to see it today evolve into a modern day trend that daring fashionistas are styling into their wardrobes. Mainstream/designer brands like Moschino have also made it look chic from the runway to the realway. I’m glad this trend has come out from hiding and is inspiring women of all shapes and sizes to embrace sexy pants in a classy way. For me personally, it’s inspiring to wear them out with a purpose that’s no longer just for hiding underneath my pretty Kurdish dress.
TGIF! Have a lovely weekend and don’t forget to look fabulous, girl.
