Say hello to my New Year’s Eve outfit option #2! In case you missed the first option click here. Okay now that we’re all on the same page, this is the second of three looks I’m featuring on the blog letting YOU pick my outfit for New Year’s Eve next week! I am so indecisive and love all three looks so thank you ahead of time for making this easier! This stunning sequin crop-top/pencil skirt duo is from Express. I love that the color is mid-night black.
I can’t forget to mention! Express is having a HUGE sale right now- 50% off EVERY item online and in-store (these items included!!). There’s only 2 days left, so you better get it girl. I’m petite (5’2 to be exact) so this fits me so differently than the model on the runway. Let’s just say I’m wearing it the REALway! I’m totally cool with being a shortie, because it still flatters my proportions. Of course, I had top off this look with a bold lip and metallic clutch. I mean it is New Years..
Keep a look out for my NYE outfit option #3 this week! Happy Holidays!
Hope everyone’s Sunday is going great! Mine totally just got even better. I don’t usually work on the weekends, this is my second post today! I couldn’t resist. I’m so excited to announce that I am Just Fab’s blogger of the month. Woo! Just Fab is so…well, fab. I am totally obsazzed with their affordable styles that are always on point with the latest runway trends. Check out the fun spotlight and interview they featured on their blog today! It’s FABulous.

Every girl should have two things: Confidence and a Little Black Dress. I found the perfect one online at Nasty Gal (I’m wearing an XS) to strut my stuff in. Let me just say, it’s beginning to look a lot like summer in Los Angeles right now (like what I did there?)! I’ve never been a fan of head bands until now!!! Totally in LOVE with this striped one from Forever 21. I think I’m obsazzed with it so much because it’s made of wire and adjusts to the size of your head/preference. I decided to tie mine into a bow to give this look an edgy feminine look!
Have an amazing weekend, ya’ll!

Today I’m partnering up with Target to bring you another fun little trend report. Let’s talk about nautical fashion, shall we?! The nautical trend isn’t exactly new. It’s a style however that is known to spice up any wardrobe in an effortless and preppy-chic way. I personally became a huge fan of this preppy sailor trend this season. I’ve paired practically every button-down I own underneath a sweater or dress to give it that nautical edge. And don’t get me started on stripes! Ob-sazzed.
Ironically, it feels like summer in LA right now (so weird!) which is why I got away with showing off some legs. If you’re living in a colder city, no worries- you can still incorporate this trend into your personal style with felted wools, sailor-style buttons, uniform stripes and even fun nautical-inspired jewelry. Think bold. A bright red or orange lip can also be another really fun way to incorporate nautical in your beauty life.
Are you a fan of this trend!? If so, what nautical styles are your favorite!?
