Say hello to my cozy sweater dress you all spazzed out about on my Instagram recently! Finally sharing the deets. I found it at Target on the sale rack last week and knew it had to be mine. I’ve been looking everywhere for a loose sweater that I can wear over and over again. The sweater is made to fit loose but I decided to make mine look extra baggy and got a size L. Love it so much! By the way, I’m currently in Texas for Thanksgiving and it is freezing outside. You should see the blooper pics when I tried to shoot this look! I could not stand still. BURRRR #CaliGirlProbs?
Since we’re on the subject of sweaters, and I’ve been gushing about them all season long- Here are three reasons why we REALLY love wearing one:
1. You don’t have to suck anything in (perfect for Thanksgiving hello!)
2. Easy to move/work in
3. Gives you that “I’m super cute, but I totally didn’t try today” look
Have a fabulous Thanksgiving my loves!!!
Woot woot it’s Friday! I’m back home in Dallas for Thanksgiving and let me tell you- I am loving this cold/gloomy weather! Am I totally weird for saying that?
On a brighter note, I shot this spaztastic outfit in LA a few weeks ago. I feel like I have to say that now since I dyed my hair lighter. I guess my secret is revealed!!! Actually, it’s no secret that 9 out of 10 bloggers shoot their outfits of the day way in advance. Alright so lately on the blog I’ve been layering button-downs underneath my sweaters and shirts A LOT. Now my dresses! I guess you can say I’m obsazzed with this trend. It’s such a fun and chic way to play up your wardrobe with unique patterns and styles. Try it!
P to the S: If you’re wondering, “Dang is this girl as hyper as she writes?” Well you need to check out my latest Youtube vlog I recorded in NYC this week and judge for yourself. Hey now- I was running on 2 hours of sleep! hahahah
Hiii pretty people of the world!! I’m back in Texas for a week visiting family and WOW. It feels so good to be here! I didn’t get a summer vacation this year so this relaxing trip has definitely been on my to-do list for quite sometime.
Since we’re on the subject of TEXAS, why not share my latest, “Big Hair, Don’t Care Texas Style” hair tutorial with blogger babe Christina of ProFreshStyle! We literally shot this like two days ago at her apartment and we had such a blast. This gal is one of my favs and an original blogger who is now taking over the Youtube world with her beauty and hilarious personality. She just moved her from NYC so let’s show her some love by checking out her channel! We made these videos in celebration of her 5 year blogiversary!! 5 YEARS! Wow. How exciting is that?
Okay, I’ll shut up now. Hope you enjoy our two part video series below showing you how to get the big ‘ole Texas hair that I’m always rockin’!

Hey guys! Today I’m sharing my review on several products I recently received in Avon’s Top Secret Color Box! I guess it’s not a secret anymore… oops! I am pretty picky when it comes to makeup, but surprisingly I had nothing bad to say about these products. Avon’s latest line is all about bold color that pops, and lasts (totally my kind of product)! The lipstick and really cool mascara applicator (which I thought was a highlighter school supply at first) were my favorites. Watch my haul/review video below! I’ve been on a roll with my videos lately! Make sure you subscribe for this one.

-From the Runway to Everyday-
Finally! Today I am showing you how to liven up your roots with a simple hair product.I was inspired to create a hair tutorial after attending Target’s fashion show in NYC earlier this month. The ladies on the runway were rocking tasseled waves, and I knew exactly how to replicate a similar look in the comfort of my own home. It’s no secret- I get asked all the time how I achieve the big messy hair look. The answer? Salt spray. For this tutorial, I used TIGI’s Catwalk salt spray, but I also recommend Toni & Guy’s salt spray (uni-sex) which works the same and is avaiable at Target for $14. I only use a texture salt spray when I don’t have time to curl my hair and want to add a quick little messy bounce. I don’t recommend you use it if you plan on applying heat to your hair (ie. straightener, curling iron) because it will look oily. Always apply after!
So what’s the secret?
To achieve the messy hair look, sometimes the best tool to use is your hand. With the right product and haircut, you can run your fingers through your hair and achieve any look that you want in seconds.
