I stumbled upon this picture on Pinterest and couldn’t resist sharing this awesome and helpful cheat sheet! Let’s face it, finding the right sunglasses is a task that men and women alike fuss over. When it comes to shopping for sunglasses, knowing your facial shape is the most important thing to keep in mind. It’s unfortunate that some facial shapes can only stick to certain styles while others can get away with the whole “one-size fits all” method.
1. Round: Just like the cheat sheet says, if your face is round go for aviator style frames. This will add definition to your face and reduce the appearance of roundness.
2. Oval: They don’t call this the “perfect face shape” for nothing! Oval faces can get away with wearing any style of sunglasses. The key thing to keep in mind however is to make sure the frames are just as wide as your face is at its widest point.
3. Square: Stick to rounder, slightly-curved frames. Your face is already defined so you don’t want sharp sunglasses to add to that! The goal is to soften your features!
4. Oblong: Similar to square facial types, your goal is to find sunglasses that add dimension to your face versus sharp geometric shapes.
5. Heart: Look for squarer frames and avoid lenses with excess detailing at the top.
6. Diamond: Any shape but avoid overly rounded/curved lenses.
7. Triangular: Shop for top heavy sunglasses which will give your face shape a more symmetrical appearance.
Who are you wearing?
The most important question when it comes to fashion red carpets. All the celebs came out last night to show off their passion for fashion. The annual gala celebrated a new exhibition, “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations,” and attracted all the hottest celebrities who came out to show their appreciation (in the form of fierce gowns and dresses..duh!)
