Introducing Makeup & Motivate

Beauty

Today I launched my Makeup & Motivate series on my channel and I just wanted to take a minute to personally thank my followers, readers and subscribers for the overwhelming amount of support.

sazan hendrix, makeup, motivate, new series, real bloggers, best bloggers, los angeles, just be you, tips, advice, encouragement, therapeutic, self-help, god, kurdish, youtube, makeup tutorial, natural makeup

So why did I decide to launch this Makeup & Motivate series?

I love makeup and I love to motivate, so I thought why not combine the best of both worlds? In today’s episode, the message is to just be you. I’ve struggled with finding myself (as we all have!) and I think social media plays a part in getting lost in the deep tunnel of comparison. The online world can be so filtered and I want to break that. As a social media influencer, I hope opening the door to real life topics like this will help motivate other women out there and fellow influencers to join me in this being real movement. I’ve always been pretty open and honest with you guys, but I’ll admit I’ve held back certain parts of myself at times because of caring so much about what others might say/think.   After I recorded this video, it felt so therapeutic. It felt right. I realized I have nothing to be ashamed about. My vulnerable side is real and one that so many women will appreciate.

Thank you to all my beautiful subscribers (and YOU my blog readers!) who continue to motivate me and support me- your encouragement inspires me daily. It’s what keeps me going in this space! It gives me the strength to speak up about certain things and not hold back.

In case you missed the video, you can check it out below! Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel to keep up with this series. Good stuff to come!!

  1. Good Morning Sazan,

Even without makeup, you are positively gorgeous! I love your eyebrows (still trying to grow mine out after many years of over-tweezing!), that exotic look that makes you who you are.

Over the years I have found that when I compared myself to another woman, I was really saying I’m not good enough, I don’t measure up. But I do measure up when I stop comparing myself to other women I think who are better than me.

I learned a long time ago, to never compare myself to other women. To love how I look without makeup, my body, my natural curly hair, being left-handed and speaking different languages. It’s everything that makes me unique, that sets me apart from the rest of the gals out there.

At this stage in my life, I’m happily married, no children though, but a thriving real estate investment business that keeps me very busy. I have so much to be thankful for and never take anything for granted. To trust God each day, thanking Him for the life He’s given me and that I am enough.

  2. Fantastic video filled with compassion and honesty. I even had tears listening to your message this morning.
I can see how GOD is touching your life. When we place our trust and faith in HIM, he will direct us to the right path. Your beauty shines from within!
Looking forward to your future “Makeup and Motivate” Videos!

  3. Wow! I feel like this video was made for me! I have been feeling so lost & confused with myself lately. & I have just been trying to figure out who I am, what is my purpose in this world, what is God’s plan for me. & I dont think it was a coincidence that you this video just when I needed it! I can relate to everything you just said (exept for the being a mom part). It’s been so bad that I actually had to delete my Instagram because it was just doing me more harm than good. I would sit there and compare myself & it was taking me to a dark place. I am EXTREMELY EXCITED about this new series & I really do hope to see more of these videos often. I have been following you for years & this by far is one of my favorite videos! Thank you for sharing & opening up! Love you!!!

  4. Saz,

Thanks for being real and showing how you are growing as a person and how God is refining you. You rock and are a great model for many other ladies out there!

Hope you keep teaching us great makeup tips, but also use your voice to speak for those who cannot. Shine light on things that are often overlooked (especially in the part of the world our ancestors are from- I’m a Coptic Christian from Egypt).

Like you said, just be you, Boo. and if you ever find yourself in Texas, come visit us in Houston and I’ll give you a tour of some of the global health work we are doing at Baylor College of Medicine.

  5. I wanted to thank you for this video. It inspired me in so many ways. I can’t wait to see who you become. THANK YOU THANK YOU for your honesty and for realizing that you are evolving.

I’m struggling with comparison and my blog. But I just wanted to thank you fro this video. It made me almost cry because I saw your honesty.

    thank you again,
