I recently wore this outfit for a fun triple date night in Malibu with friends. I love styling a bold piece of clothing and making it more wearable for a casual day out, but on some days -I’m the complete opposite!
If I find myself gravitating towards a simple outfit, I always try to make it special with some extra accessories. Whether that’s jewelry, a fun bag, or even my makeup look – there are endless ways to add a little pizzazz.
I know accessorizing an outfit can make or break an outfit, so here are some Saz-tips to simplify it for you babes and give you an idea of where to start. 🙂
Tip #1: Add a POP with your purse!
Bags with fun colors or prints are the easiest way to brighten up an outfit. You can add a cute leopard-print bag to an all-black outfit and elevate the look entirely. Or, if you love color as much as I do, a fun, bold bag like this yellow one I styled recently will do the trick!
Tip #2: Belt it out, girl!
Belts are my go-to, especially because A: they add a “put together”, clean element to any outfit, and B: they cinch your waist (like if you’re wearing a flowy dress). You can play around with different looks like western-style ones or just rock a sleek black belt.
Tip #3: All jeweled up!
Jewelry… where do I even start?! The possibilities are truly endless. I love styling a simple outfit with bold earrings or layering dainty gold necklaces together (HUGE trend right now!). Lately, I have also been wearing a cute anklet with basically all of my outfits! Such a fun yet simple touch to jazz up your look!
Tip #4: Don’t forget your hat!
Topping off an outfit with a hat is always a good idea! (And it covers dirty hair- Yay!) There are so many variations from dad-caps to this baker boy hat I wore recently! Sometimes adding a cap is that finishing touch your outfit needs.
So if you’re bored, don’t worry about revamping your entire wardrobe! Get a few essential accessory pieces (like some hot shoes!) or play up your makeup and hair to bring a little extra life to an outfit. Use the arrows to swipe left or right to shop my favorites:
