Pack Your Bags!

As I count down the days until I say “I Do,” there’s another exciting event happening later in May that I CAN’T WAIT FOR! Get ready you guys! Here’s the secret..

Shortly after my honeymoon this month, Stevie and I are packing our bags again and traveling to Europe for 20 days!!!! Ahhh!! 🙂  This is going to be the adventure we’ve always dreamed of going on as a newly married couple. We’ve been working closely with Contiki to plan a trip overseas to enjoy the full European experience. You guys know I’m hyper (and so is my husband-to-be) so we wanted a fast-paced journey that will keep us busy and entertained. They helped us find the perfect trip. We’re going to explore so many amazing sites thanks to Contiki and we even got to include some ‘Me Time’ couples activities to relax and try some local spots in each city (with your help maybe!?). Keep scrolling down to see the cities we’re visiting!

Hitting all the stops: London | Amsterdam | Rhine Valley | Munich | Austrian Tyrol | Venice | Rome | Florence | Lucerne | Paris

I’m so excited for this new journey to start with Contiki, which I found out caters to 18-35 year olds. I’m so glad we found them to help us make this trip unforgettable. We’re planning a few more trips with Contiki this year so check out their site and help me decide where we should go? By the way, I am challenging myself to pack ONE SUITCASE ONLY. This is going to be my first multi-city trip so I’m nervous and excited to see how I can fit my entire life in one suitcase. As Contiki says, #NOREGRETS! (Maybe Stevie will let me steal some of his luggage space. ha)

Now to the important question- What am I going to wear!? I’m already starting to think strategically about what outfits I can pack, and  I  definitely have a feeling that mixing neutral colors with a pop of print is the way to go. A key essential I have to take with me is a leopard bag because it makes a statement and is easy to transition from day to night. This outfit is the ultimate vacation look and has me dreaming of a summer European getaway!

From the places we’ll see to the food, activities, hotel experiences and people we’ll meet – We seriously can’t wait to pack our bags. This is going to be my best #sazantravels experience yet! Who knows, maybe I’ll even bump into a few of you international beauties.

If you guys have any recommendations for places and things Stevie and I should check out on our Contiki tour, comment below and let me know. Stay tuned for more exciting updates! (hint: this could include meet and greet invitations!!!) #yay

  1. Hi Sazan,
If you plan to stay long in Munich I would recommend visiting another city not so far away called Bamberg.
It’s just so beautiful you will be amazed, especially now in Spring.
I would recommend also a restaurant in Florence:
    http://www.osteriasantospirito.it/

We (my boyfriend and I) found it by accident on our visit there and we were amazed by the food. It’s not a touristic restaurant so I would say is real Italian food.
P.S If you guys decide to visit Bamberg, my boyfriend and I, would gladly give you a tour. We live nearby.

    Have a nice week!
    Hugs,
    Tatjana

  7. hi Sazan, I m writing you from Zürich, Switzerland.
I’ ve become a huge fan of you since i saw your first post on Instagram.
I love your style, but I also love your positivity, your energy and -last but not least- after many years of struggling with my hair, you showed me how to deal and make up with them 😉

Anyway, what i would recommend you for your trip to Europe is…visit Lugano! Thats one of the most beautiful city i ve ever seen and lived in.
it has a wonderful lake, lots of little restaurants, amazing romantic parks and many spots you can spend your honeymoon. It is the italian part of Switzerland, so that you get the best of both nations: the italian flair and life style combined with the swiss cleanliness.. just amazing!

i wish you all the best for your big day!!

    have a wonderful day

    xxx

  10. Hi Sazan, im very excited for you both. Im from Amsterdam and ofcourse i have also a couple recommendations for you guys.

    Checklist:
1: The grachten(canals) from Amsterdam. The best way to see that is by having a boattrip from Amsterdam central station. Within this trip you will see the old buildings from the Golden century with a lot of their storys. The bridges are also popular because of the way they are built. The most famous canals are the Brouwersgracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht en Prinsengracht.

Nr.2: Anne Frank house. This was the house who this Jewish family kept hiding in the second world war. When you enter this house you will get a strange feeling. Sad, insecure, and ofcourse you feel how sad it was for this family. You shoudld definetely see and feel this. Also you will see her diary this makes it more personal how it felt for this girl.

Nr.3: The most master piece of Rembrandt :the Nachtwacht has lived in this house. If you like art or just interested to see this you should definetely go. Thatmakes it more personal.

Nr.4: Also Rijksmuseum is one of the most popular museum of this city because of the 1 milion things that are kept secret and worth from the 17th century. Different kind of art pieces are shown and the whole building is also cool to see. Like it has 200 rooms with 1 milion stuff thats crazy to see. Also theNachtwacht from Rembrandt is shown here.

Nr.5: Vondelpark. This park is the most famous because its huge and each year there are like 10 milion people coming to see this. The cool part of this park is because of the live music, concerts and theatre pieces. Its also free to participate.

Nr.6: The Amsterdam Dungeon. Its like a disney world park but this ones is bringing you back to the past to 500 years back with the most horrible things that happend.and also secrets of Rembrandt. someone has to stand next to you for if it gets scary.

Nr.7: Koninklijk Paleis op de Dam. This is the loyalty palacy its in the center of the city. This palace has also influences from the Napoleon century. Its cool to see it outside as inside. Modern Huge rooms, and at the same time so oldish.

Nr.8 Leidseplein. One of the most popular streets of Amsterdam. This place is the most outgoing street. It has so many spots, restaurants, cafe and shoppingmalls. Kalverstraat is the most longest shopping street. You can find any shopmall you want.

Nr.9 Restaurant Olijfje is really a good restaurant. Its not that expensive and its also meditterean food. Definetely a reccomendation.

N.10 you should visit Helin at her beautysalon (instagram/havinbeauty) She will give you a hair and make up session as a weddinggift with a cup of Kurdish tea 😉

Hopefully its usefull. Have a great stay and hopefully it can be a meet and greet.

    Greets from Amsterdam

  14. Hi Sazan,
I can`t wait to see your wedding dress and I wish you the best for tomorrow.
I`m from Germany and live close to Munich. I think you will definately like Munich, it`s just such a pretty and traditional City. If you want to see Munich from above you should go to the “Alter Peter”. Its a church und for 2 euros you can walk all the way up to the top. If the weather is nice you can even see the alps. I like going to “ohjulia” probably because it has my Name in it and i just like Pizza.
    http://www.ohjulia.de/index.php?id=14
But if you would like to eat something traditional from baveria then you should go tohttp://www.eggerlokale.de/restaurant-atzinger-muenchen.html
If you like to go for a walk then just go to the big park called “englischer garten”. I also like walking around at the gärtnerplatz. There are a few cute littles Stores and you can enjoy a coffee or a smoothie.
These are just a few things but You can do so much more in munich.

I have one recommandation for London. I was there once and my english Friend went with me to a “englisch Tee time”. It was great. I trink she booked at a hotel. You get your big cup of tea and a some little snacks. Its just so english. And i really loved it.
I hope you will have a great trip and a wonderful wedding.
    xo julia
And ps. I love the wedding location.

  15. Hi Sazan!
I just wanted to say I love your blog and your posts are amazing! You are my favorite blogger and I’m so happy for you and all of your accomplishments

  16. Hi Sazan,

First of all, congratulations!I think today is the big date, I hope the two of you had a great time.
I’m a French girl, so forgive me for my english. I often go to Paris with my boyfriend, it’s so romantic! I recommend you to have a drink at the rooftop of the Raphael Hotel (http://www.raphael-hotel.com/fr/hotel-5-etoiles-champs-elysees-site-officiel.php#hotel-5-etoiles-champs-elysees-site-officiel.php), next of the Triumphal arch. You’ll enjoy a great view, especially when the sun comes down.

Then, I recommend you to have a lunch at Caruso (http://ristorantecaruso.fr). It’s an italien restaurant in the Marais, most of our celebrities love eating there. It’s simple but very tasty and really affordable.

If you love French pastries, you have to eat the best Paris-Brest of Paris at La Pâtisserie des Rêves (http://lapatisseriedesreves.com). Philippe Conticini is one of our best Chef, you won’t regret it, I promise!

You maybe already know it, but you have to go to the Avenue Montaigne and the Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré. You’ll find the most beautiful stores in the entire city! Dior, Chanel, YSL, Louboutin, Hermès have their flagship store in those streets.

We also went to Florence and Rome for Valentine’s Day, but there is too much things to do and see, I can’t tell you everything. I think Italy is the most romantic country I’ve ever been. It’s really beautiful, and something peaceful and joyful is in the air: “la Dolce Vita”!

Congratulations once again and have a wonderful trip!!

  17. Hi Suzan, I am loving this outfit! Super cute shorts. & Congratulations you two are peerfect!have an amazing trip on your honeymoon.

    Jondae xx

  18. DEFINITELY hit Oxford Street to shop while you’re in London – it’s the best for high street stores!! And try to make time for afternoon tea at Sketch (right down the road from shopping on Oxford). Paris is absolutely lovely and I’m sure you’ll see all they key attractions…unfortunately the museums are typically jam packed during peak tourist times, but my personal favorite are the gardens. Paris is just so beautiful that you want to be walking around outdoors. Congrats on your marriage and I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time 🙂

  20. Be honest about your hair type. Many of us are in denial, and thing we have the hair that we want, rather than what we actually have. However good your hairdresser is, if you have fine, flyaway hair you are never going to be able to have the style of your favorite actress if her hair is thick and full of volume.
